Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0753hrs Dolphin 7 is on station, dropping off pathfinder at Bravo Company and ready to begin Combat Assault. At 0806hrs Battalion Commander departed for Combat Assault off LZ Liz. At 0810hrs Radios on AMC do not work- returning to LZ Bronco to repair them. At 0846hrs AMC is leaving LZ Bronco to pick up Bravo Company 83. At 0900hrs Combat Assault 1 PZ 0900hrs Bravo 83 LZ to BSBS762535, 2 PZ 0915hrs 53 LZ at BS772534, 3 PZ 0929hrs Bravo 02 LZ at BS768534, 4 PZ 0945hrs Bravo 03 LZ BS768534, 5 0955hrs Charlie 53 LZ Dragon, 6 PZ MACV LZ at BS769530, 7 PZ 1115hrs Charlie 02 LZ Dragon, 8 PZ 1126hrs Charlie 83 LZ at Dragon and Eagle Flight completed and AMC party returned to LZ Liz. At 1159hrs Resupply helicopter broke station all aircraft grounded due to high winds. At 1200hrs at this time the Phoenix Team has detained 13 VC suspects. Bravo Company remains in its cordon posture with negative enemy incidents, further reports are anticipated. At 1303hrs Radar 10 C while on routine patrol around position found 4 Artillery duds, 1 105mm, 3 155mm, 1 155mm 2 months old pointed toward the east with the other fairly new pointed southwest. None were booby trap or on a trail and all were destroyed in place. Patrol continued mission. At 1303hrs 1-20 Infantry to Bravo Company move from present location no later then 1500hrs or sooner, if notified by this station to vicinity grid BS760550. Then move elements out to patrol bases vicinity of above grid and establish Night Defensive Position and ambushes. 1-20 Infantry reports New Area of Operation boundary between Bravo and Delta Company 565 East West grid line. 1-20 Infantry to Delta Company move north AS soon as possible and established your unit to the north of the 565 East West grid line. Set up Night Defense Position and ambush and report new locations. Bravo Company will be to the south of new Area of Operation Boundary. At 1932hrs Radar spotted 8 to 10 stationary personnel at grid BS775554, engaged at 1920hrs with 16 HE rounds 105mm Artillery. At 2120hrs follow up to Eagle Flight Bravo Company in conjunction with 176 RF Company, 164 PF Platoon and Phoenix Team (2 advisors and 18 in team) conducted Cordon and Search of Nui Ong Do with results 1 VC confirmed, 11 VCI. Detainees are at Mo Duc, have not gotten full read out yet. At 2350hrs Radar at grid BS656578 spotted 8 to 10 personnel moving northwest, negative clearance due to proximity to Ville. Legend 1st Platoon 03-08, 2nd Platoon 53-58, 3rd Platoon 83-88, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 02.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company
November 1, 1970
At 0753hrs Dolphin #7 is on station, dropping off pathfinder at Bravo Company. Ready conducts a Combat Assault at 0806hrs Battalion Commander departed for operation 1st LZ 0909hrs BS726535 and last LZ at 0929hrs at BS768534. Bravo Company along with MACV forces to BS768530 and Charlie Company to LZ Dragon. At 1200hrs at this time, the Phoenix team has detained 13 VC suspects as Bravo Company remains in its cordon posture with negative enemy incidents. Further reports are anticipated. At 1500hrs Bravo Company started moving to the vicinity of BS760550 and Delta Company moved north of 565 (east west) grid line, for Night Defense Position and ambushes Bravo Company south of the new Area of Operation boundary. The following update: Bravo Company in conjunction with 176 RF Company, 164 PF Platoon and Phoenix Team (2 advisors and 18 in a team) conducted Cordon and Search of Nui Ong Do. Results: 1 VC confirmed, 11 VCI detainees are a Mo Duc, have not gotten full read out yet. At 1953hrs Bravo Company 06 and 04 received sniper fire from grid BS775554 of 3 round, Bravo Company engaged enemy with 81mm fire with unknown results.
Charlie Company

At 0955hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon pick up and at 1000hrs landed at LZ Dragon and 1st Platoon at 1125hrs and 3rd Platoon landed at LZ Dragon at 1131hrs. Charlie Company was back haul for Eagle Flight to LZ Dragon. Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Dragon.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their patrolling operations in their Area of Operation. At 1159hrs Resupply helicopter broken station, all aircraft grounded due to high winds. At 1305hrs 1-20 Infantry report: New Area of Operation boundary between Bravo and Delta Companies. Gridline 565 East-West grid line Bravo Company to south of the new line and Delta Company to the north. At 1440hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon is moving to BS745584 and 3rd Platoon is moving to BS758576. At 0930hrs Delta Company reports their locations 85 in location at BS754572 and 05 at BS749574.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry.
