Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0105hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out, Alpha has 9, Charlie has 4 had 5 but 1 detonated, and Delta Company has 6 out. At 0128hrs Saber 49 took fire from tree line, positions in the same tree line then took fire form a 3rd position in another tree line, vicinity BS719484 broke station at 0155hrs. At 0328hrs Saber 49 is on station for Box 66, broke station at 0336hrs with negative findings. At 0550hrs LZ Liz Bunker line bunker 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 with 6 and 14 asleep and bunker 7 people awake but inside. At 1330hrs Special Police Mo Duc, at vicinity BS715603,reports 5 VC entered the Kien Khuong Hamlet wearing ARVN uniforms (green jungle fatigues) and assented 1 of Special Police, results 1 Special Police KIA, negative enemy casualties, negative US confirmation. At 1510hrs 1-20 Infantry Dolphin 15 has broken station. At 1520hrs 1-20 Infantry effective 020400 to 021800 Tropical Storm Wanda is located 60 miles southeast of Quin Nhan moving in north direction with maximum winds of 60K, center of storm is the MR I intermediate raid and winds to 55 K northern MR1 having rains of 60K. At 1925hrs 1-20 Infantry inspection of 105’s and bunker 13, all satisfactory except bunker lights in 105 are out, were not give challenging or pass words. At 2105hrs LZ Liz, had 2 VC fire on end bunker of Access Road, friendly returned fire with negative casualties, Illumination fired, personnel on Access Road believe enemy evaded to the south. At 2245hrs MACV Mo Duc requests Urgent Dust Off for 1 PF with gunshot wound to chest and belly at grid 734654, Dust Off have been grounded by Division. Legend: 1st Platoon 51, 2nd Platoon 26, 3rd Platoon 13, 4th Platoon 17, CO-66.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will use Patrol Bases with Multiple ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 1903hrs Alpha Company all elements in, their Night Defense Position Command Post, 2nd and 4th Platoons at BS648513, 1st Platoon at BS675508 and 3rd Platoon is at BS669534.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued with their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0550hrs LZ Liz Bunker line bunker 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14 with 6 and 14 asleep and bunker 7 people awake but inside. At 1925hrs 1-20 Infantry inspection of 105’s and bunker 13, all satisfactory except bunker lights in 105 are out and were not give challenging pass words. At 2115hrs Bravo Company LZ Liz had 2 VC fire on each bunker of Access road, friendly returned fire with negative casualties and fired Illumination fired, personnel on access road believe enemy evaded to the south.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company is using Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1017hrs Charlie Company 2 Platoon V patrol is moving to BS724435 and 2nd Platoon G patrol is moving out to BS716436. At 1830hrs Charlie Company all elements in Night Defense Positions Command Post, 3rd Platoon at BS716416, 2nd Platoon at BS724427 and 1st Platoon at BS728410.
Delta Company

At 0029hrs Delta Company 1st and 4th Platoon in location at BS721499 and at 0109hrs Delta Company has 6 Mechanical Ambushes out. At 0645hrs Delta Company 1st and 4th Platoons is located at BS721482 and at 0745hrs moved into their Patrol Base at BS720489. At 0845hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon in Patrol Base at BS700577, 1st Platoon in Patrol Base vicinity BS720489. At 0925hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon report on element sweeping area of contact, found 2 of 4 bodies (drag mark visible for 2 bodies headed west trails could not be followed because of rain). The bodies 1 male 30 years old wearing NVA type uniform green on green and one female 23 wearing VC uniform black on black, also small amount of documents which will be back hauled to LZ Liz. At 0944hrs Delta Company emergency re supply brought out to Delta Company by Dolphin 13, requested Dust Off for 1 US with possible Malaria, line # M3521 completed at 1455hrs vicinity BS720489 by resupply bird. At 1513hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon at BS720489 detained 1 14 year old Vietnamese, 1st seen 2 days ago in a tree watching 1st and 4th Platoons is their Patrol Base, today after coke kids left he disappeared and was found again spying on 1st and 4th Platoons. At 1905hrs Delta Company all in Night Defense Position Command Post, 1st and 4th Platoons at BS713492, Command Post and 2nd Platoon at BS712477 with the 3rd Platoon at BS705514.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0815hrs Recon is moving to their Day Ambush at BS744388. At 1914hrs Recon reports all elements in their Night Defense Position at BS740387.
