Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located on LZ Liz and continued to work with the ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations. Still working OPERATION IRON MOUNTAIN Phase I 28 February 1969 to August 10, 1969. Alpha Company remains (OPCON) to the 4-21 Infantry. At 0915hrs 11 Brigade reports LZ Cork is closed. At 1030hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at BS763439 the mine sweep team found 1 155mm round buried in road, with a bobby trap 105 buried under it as a booby trap and it was destroyed.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the Battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 2140hrs LZ Bronco Defense spotted 5 VC at BS851377 by radar and fired 64 rounds or Artillery and 30 rounds of mortar and target destroyed.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company is OPCON to the 4-21 Infantry. With the 4-21 Infantry Alpha Company conduct a Recon in Force to Vicinity BS675275 and 1 element southeast to vicinity BS686276. At 1155hrs LATE REPORT at1050hrs on April 30, 1969 at BS672282 found a clear area with building materials. The clear Area appears to have been occupied in last couple of days. At 1410hrs Alpha Company at BS680277 found 8 fighting bunkers, 5 dug in buildings bag of documents will be evac to LZ Jeff. At 1445hrs Alpha Company is located vicinity BS682284, at 1900hrs Alpha Company Night Defense Position is at BS684293.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company conducted 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS694452. Bravo Company establishes their Night Defense Position at BS699454 with 1 ambush.
Charlie Company

At 0905hrs Charlie Company at BS713429 found booby trap trip wire type fishing line across trail going to a small mound of dirt believed to be a Chi Com grenade blew in place. At 1900hrs Charlie Company establishes their Night Defense Position at BS705421 and the 14 element at BS715414.
Delta Company

Delta Company (-) has the Security Mission for LZ Liz with 2 OP’s, 1 squad on Bridge 392-393, and conduct Recon in Force to vicinity BS821438 then to vicinity BS841412. At 1615hrs Delta Company locations 33 element is at Bridge 402U. At 1900hrs Delta Company at LZ Liz with Command Post at BS752436, BS754420.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0900hrs Recon Platoon reports back to LZ Bronco from their Recon in Force with 8 PRU to BS741285. Recon Platoon reports their location at BS914257.
