Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0746hrs LZ Liz Access Road mine swept at this time. At 0828hrs 1-20 Infantry Primo 5 is on station at this time. At 0853hrs 1-20 Infantry Helix 31 is on station at this time. At 0925hrs 1-20 Infantry Primo 5 has broke station at this time. At 1305hrs 1-20 Infantry reports the S-5 Med Cap in location at BS810372. At 1516hrs 1-20 Infantry S-5 reports Med Cap completed with 125 treated. At 2115hrs MACV Nghia Hanh vicinity BS553603 at 2115hrs request 1 Urgent Dust Off for PF with multiple frag wounds to entire body caused by claymore he was setting up and it detonated. Time of event 2015hrs pick up at BS553603. Picked up, US at BS616644, LZ secure and mark with lights. Negative Vietnamese Air Force (LJG) Bird #99 completed at 2155 to Quang Ngai. Legend: 1st Platoon 17, 2nd Platoon 44, 3rd Platoon 56, 4th Platoon 23, CO-64.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their use of Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 2008hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon in their Night Defense position at BS755448, 2nd Platoon at BS758454 and Command Post and 1st Platoon at BS746444.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road Security.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operations. At 0707hrs Charlie Company Command Post and 1st Platoon is moving to their Patrol Base at BS681515 and closed on Patrol Base at BS681515. At 1218hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon has closed vicinity BS681515. At 1813hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon patrol closed vicinity BS681515. At 2045hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon and Command Post in Night Defense Position at BS685517.
Delta Company

Delta Company will continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0913hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving to BS680476. At 1045hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon is moving to BS715495. At 1156hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol has closed vicinity BS712492. At 1619hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol is at checkpoint 1, vicinity BS698472. At 2025hrs Delta Company reports elements in their Night Defense Position 1st and 2nd Platoons at BS711496 with 2nd Platoon ambush at 710489.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0620hrs Recon is going on patrol checkpoint 1 at BS680420. Checkpoint 2 is at 693418, at 0624hrs Recon Patrol Base will be the same as Night Defense Position of BS699423. At 0630hrs Recon is moving out to BS680420. At 0718hrs Recon Patrol is at checkpoint 1 at BS680420 and at 0747hrs Recon Patrol is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS693418. At 0829hrs Recon Patrol closed on BS699423. At 1843hrs Recon is moving to Night Defense Position vicinity BS709429 and closed on their location at 2016hrs.
