Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry is located at LZ Liz and continued their Mission and working with ARVN units in their Duc Pho Area of Operations.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 1750hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 7 VC/NVA evading at BS834405, D TOC engaged with 105mm direct Artillery, they were carrying what looked like weapons with results 3 VC KIA.
Alpha Company
July 1, 1969
At 0630hrs Alpha Company location is at BS773419 as they continued to use multiple patrolling in their Search and Clear operation in their Area of Operation. At 1400hrs Alpha Company has a minor change in their Day Logger position at BS773411. At 2115hrs Alpha Company have established their Night Defense Position at BS779407 with the 94 element at BS777415, and the 44 element is at BS776405.
Bravo Company
July 1, 1969
Bravo Company continued to sweep their area of contact last night and at 0900hrs report from Last Night 18 WIA, 14 evac, 3 minor and 8 KHA with 1 WIA Battle Fatigue by mines at their location at BS733470. At 2115hrs Bravo Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS737453 with the 66 element at BS729448. Bravo Company reports SP4 Larry C. Vaughn was evac to the 312th Evac Hospital.
Charlie Company

At 0630hrs Charlie Company report their location is at BS821463 as they move to their Day Logger and use multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1340hrs Charlie Company at BS808465 spotted 6 VC/NVA walking in a ditch toward their Day Logger in Blue uniforms, engaged with small arms fire with negative assessment at this time. At 2115hrs Charlie Company established their Night Defense Position at BS801471, 64 at BS796405 with 94 at BS779465.
Delta Company
July 1, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0810hrs Delta Company request a priority Dust Off for 1 WIA with broken ankle, fell down stairs at LZ Liz, completed at Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 2115hrs Delta Company report they have the 93 element on South OP and 35 at North OP.
Echo Company
July 1, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0545hrs Recon Platoon is moving at this time and at 0900hrs report their OP location at BS838375. At 2115hrs Recon reports their new location at BS835377 and BS836372.
