Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1105hrs E Troop 1 Cav. at BS789415 reports 1 Vietnamese male 35 years old hot in arm, 1 Vietnamese female 35 shot in arm, and 1 Vietnamese male 25 years old, nick on hand, all 3 turned into MACV Duc Pho.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 1, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon and at 1330hrs Alpha Company at BS690513 spotted 2 VC evading results is 2 VC KIA. At 1440hrs Command and Control helicopter inserted Alpha Company 21 element into BS690516 to check the area out and are extracted by the Command and Control helicopter. At 1500hrs Alpha Company at BS690510 observed 5 VC, called artillery, results 2 VC KBA, also found 4 huts, contained 500 pounds of rice, 1 hand grenades, 1 pistol belt, destroyed in place. At 1810hrs Alpha Company reports locations 23 ambush BS714534, 44 BS722526, 55 BS728518 and 24 at BS723526. At 1600hrs Alpha Company reports 1-20 Infantry SRRP locations Antolope- BS708576 and Bobby at BS879303. At 1810hrs Alpha Company ambushes location 23 at BS714534, 44 at BS722526, 55 at BS728518, and 24 at BS723526. At 2128hrs Alpha Company on LZ Dragon trip flare went off on bunker line, fired small arms and PFC Stucker, Larry attempted to throw a hand grenade and it fell short. Result in 1 EM receiving frag wounds and Dust Off completed at 2140hrs Checked with 6th Support, man has minor flesh wounds and will remain overnight for observation.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Bravo Company has their 23 element at Bridge 124 and at 1600hrs Bravo Company has the 22 element at BS478415 and at 1810hrs the 51 element is at BS749424 and 52 at BS7479440. At 1600hrs 1-20 Infantry report of SRRP locations Antolope at BS708576 and Bobby at BS879303.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Charlie Company 96 element is at Bridge 111. At 1810hrs Charlie Company reports their locations 44 ambush at BS802362 and 43 at BS882330. At 1600hrs 1-20 Infantry report of SRRP locations Antolope at BS708576 and Bobby at BS879303.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1025hrs Delta Company locations are 41 at Bridge 94 and Bridge 95, with 61 at BS932230. At 1510hrs Delta Company at BS929224 Vietnamese boy with frag in his leg Dust Off element was checking out bunker and put a hand grenade in one of them and wounded boy. At 1810hrs 44 is at Bridge 94 and 43 is at Bridge 95. At 1600hrs 1-20 Infantry report of SRRP locations Antolope at BS708576 and Bobby at BS879303.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1020hrs Recon Platoon is located at BS920234. At 1810hrs Recon Platoon is back on LZ Liz.
