Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 2050hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz reports OP spotted 15-20 VC moving north from BS7444 to BS7545. At 2115hrs 1-20 Infantry Charlie Company on Bridge 94 element received 6 rounds small arms fire from Sa Huynh.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0900hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS723578 1 EM detonated a mine crater 6 ½’ X 3 ½’ results 1 KIA sweep area with negative results. At 1000hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at BS765427 Mine Sweep Team received automatic weapons fire and returned fire with unknown results. At 1310hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS723579 Vietnamese truck detonated mine 15-20 pounds explosion crater 5 ½" X 3 ½’ possible command detonate we re swept area and continued mine sweep, negative casualties, tailgate and rear of truck damage. Charlie Company 39 Infantry HAS SFC RONALD JAMES LONG LISTED AS KIA.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

Bravo Company has the Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1010hrs Bravo Company 52 is at BS891294and 1145hrs at BS895295 detained 1 VCS CIA male, 20 evac to LZ Bronco.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company has the Security Mission for Charlie Brown. The 82 element is at BS932240 and moving to BS917251 with a Recon in Force. Charlie Company report locations 32 are at Bridge 94 and 35 is at bridge 95 with the 82 element is at BS922217 and BS932227. At 2115hrs Charlie Company at Bridge 94 Bridge received 6 rounds of small arms fire from the direction of SA Huynh.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1215hrs Delta Company 52 is at BS752456 had I man throw grenade in bunker and blast clause wound in back 1 WIA (E) Dust Off completed at 1255hrs. At 1500hrs Delta Company vicinity BS771461 detained 1 VCS with no ID. PFC Freddie Young was evac to the 27th Surgical Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon in Chu Lai for their Stand Down, joined with Alpha Company.
