Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0410hrs 1-20 Infantry Sensors reports a sudden increase in activity has been spotted near sensors 12 and 22. At 1400hrs Warlord have one Vietnamese snatch from grid BS806437 and taken to LZ Bronco. At 1807hrs Brigade to 1-20 Infantry Agent report Duc Pho C-3 70 VC at BS790445, BS798441 and BS802430, they have individual weapons Mission to attack the bridge of 124, Pho Hung Defense network in the following nights. At 1900hrs Intelligence from MACV they reported that the little people said there was an NVA Battalion at grid BS797302 maybe we could put artillery on it.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 2255hrs LZ Bronco Bravo and Charlie sector of the bunker line went to gray alert because of an explosion in Duc Pho. At 2250hrs Late Entry Duc Pho at 2250hrs had 1 explosion, unknown type, with unknown results, artillery called, Civilians set off a booby trap that the ARVN had set.
Alpha Company

At 1105hrs Alpha Company reports the 45 element has left perimeter for a sweep in the Southern Bridge Site and closed on Day Logger at 1200hrs. At 1205hrs Alpha Company 23 element is moving out to the northwest in a cloverleaf patrol. At 1300hrs Alpha Company 23 element has found one small hole or tunnel, so far they found 7 Chi Com grenades and 2 RPG rounds. We will have our Kit Carson Scout go down in the hole because it is too small for US personnel. At 1600hrs Alpha Company is at BS687435. Alpha Company in their Night Defense Position at BS687435 and at 2050hrs received 1 hand frag with no casualties or damage.
Bravo Company

At 0640hrs Bravo Company 23 element has left for Day Mission. At 0800hrs Bravo Company at BS778450 Requested Priority Dust Off for 2 Vietnamese one female and 1 baby both have multiple frag wounds caused unknown Dust Off completed at 0817hrs. At 1020hrs Bravo Company 74 element has said a sniper was firing at choppers from grid BS798419. At 1155hrs Bravo Company at BS776440 is moving in a Recon in Force to BS783433 and by 2000hrs Bravo Company is in their Night Defense Position at BS784428. At 1903hrs Bravo Company 47 is now moving our for night patrol. At 1955hrs Bravo Company reports 75 and 44 snake are in their locations and at 2047hrs Bravo Company reports closed on their snake location.

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0520hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Schedule Fires 5, Unobserved Mission 1 and Defense Target 5 for a total expended 42 HE and 2 WP rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and the 1-20 Infantry.
