Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0805hrs Brigade Typhoon Patsy is currently in Philippines moving west at 15 knots, 2 days from now it is expected to be 200 miles east of Chu Lai and moving west, cloudiness and rain starting tomorrow. At 0840hrs S-4 Resupply ship is on station. At 0905hrs Warlords, #8 on station to check out box 69X. At 1000hrs Warlord 8 saw 2 personnel, 1 with weapon vicinity BS775546, inserted Blues and have 3 POW, 1 with M-16 all males and will evac to Military Intelligence. At 1008hrs Resupply ship has broken station. At 1045hrs Brigade condition 4 is now in effect, Patsy is 900 nautical miles east and south east of Da Nang. Winds from the west 15 knots, estimate it will hit Duc Pho late on the 21 November. Winds will be 50 knots or greater and will effect MR1 from Dan Nang south by 21 November. At 1202hrs 1-20 Infantry Warlord 8 inserted Animals at BS769557, picked up 3 detainees and 1 M-16. These were taken to Duc Pho. Later found 1 M-4, 1 Vietnamese rucksack containing black clothing and 2 pounds of polished rice, also 1 US pistol belt. They destroyed 2 hootches and 1 bunker at the same grid. They Dusted Off 5 men who hit a bobby trap, unknown type, Warlord broke station at 1205hrs. At 1305hrs 76C at Nui Vong, while on patrol around hill 103, purchased 40 M-79 rounds from some children, paid 4 meals of C-rations. Also vicinity BS700603 they were shown 1 RPG round, hidden under some rocks: estimated that it had been hidden there 3 weeks. And at BS697598 they found 1 RPG round, laying in the open, estimated that it had been there 6 months, destroyed in place. At 1327hrs 76 C at Nui Vong the IOS at BS677597 1 AK 47 and 2 unidentified weapons and the 3 VC were not moving around, appeared to be having a meeting or waiting for someone received all clearances need and fire on area using from LZ Snoopy the 105mm Artillery. The IOS spotted a great deal of movement upon start of firing but could not determine whether they hit anything. Helix 36 checked the area with negative findings. At 1715hrs S-4 Dolphin 671 is on station for resupply and Dolphin 671 is breaking station at 1820hrs. At 1840hrs 76 C IOS spotted 2 VC with packs and weapons vicinity BS688588 and moving west. Lost sight of 2 VC at 1848hrs requested fire mission, negative clearance due to proximity of ARVN. At 1912hrs 76C IOS sighting 2 people stationary vicinity BS677604 negative clearance due to proximity of friendly. At 2058hrs MACV Date/Time/Grid 200800hrs to 201800hrs November 1970 3 PF Platoon and 1 RF Company will provide security around LZ Liz access road. Chopper will land at junction of LIZ access road and highway 1. It will be carrying an official to inspect flood-damaged areas, PF and RF location BS784436, BS786439, BS775443, BS776644, BS783445 and BS777445. At 2305hrs Brigade has request Area of Operation extension B20 and B18 be extended to 252400hrs November 1970 for 4 ARVN approved by LT Lewis. At 2350hrs Blue Ghost 41 is working Box’s 66 and 67. Legend: 1st Platoon 12-18, 2nd Platoon 62-68, 3rd Platoon 82-88, 4th Platoon 32-38 and CO 44.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Wind high and weather appears to be changing with the coming Typhoon Patsy could be in the area in a couple of days. At 1845hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon in location vicinity BS755598 Command Post at BS760604, 1st Platoon ambush at BS758602, 2nd Platoon ambush is located at BS765599 and BS763696 with 3rd Platoon ambush vicinity BS755598 and BS752598.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use their saturation patrolling in their Area of Operations and at 1503hrs detained I Vietnamese female, age 25, negative ID vicinity BS758562, wearing all black we extracted to Military Intelligence.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
November 19, 1970
Delta Company continued to work their Area of Operations using Patrolling. At 0640hrs Delta Company all ambushes have closed on Night Defense Position vicinity BS678570. At 1936hrs Delta Company Command Post BS679570, 1st Platoon at BS679571, 2nd Platoon at BS671572 and 3rd Platoon ambush BS684570.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon is now on LZ Dragon.
