Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0130hrs Alpha Company 39 Engineer received 3-to 4 rounds of 60mm Mortar rounds and small arms fire from the south with negative casualties or damage. At 1915hrs 11th Brigade Chemical CS drop DATE/TIME/GRID 200630 May at BS715390, BS718385, BS726400 and BS730395. 1-20 Infantry Command and Control Helicopter will arrive at Liz 0600hrs and will over fly to assure target and results. At 1810hrs ARVN at BS7369 scrambled gun ships and Command and Control Helicopter in area 3 ARVN KIA and 17 ARVN WIA. At 2040hrs Alpha Company spot light on road to LZ Liz at BS761435 and fire 4.2 Mortar Fire Mission.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0505hrs LZ Bronco received 4 rounds of recoilless rife, 2 on runway in front of 174th Aviation and 1 dud on northeast pad and 1 dud between pad and runway, enemy location at BS828408. At 0935hrs Alpha Company 19 Engineer at BS798398 Mine sweep found grenade mine above 1 grind 3’ from eastside or road mine 175mm round blew in place checked for VC and continued sweep. At 1315hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer at 918188 ambush 5 ton truck hauling asphalt when it never lost control of truck. At 2135hrs LZ Bronco received 3 rounds of 140 rockets 2 landed in 3-1 Infantry and one in the 4-3 Infantry area, 2 US (E) and 5 US (M) from 3-1 Infantry, fried from BS757341. At 2200hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 2-3 VC at BS80904150 fired 16 rounds 81mm mortar and 4 rounds of Artillery 155mm.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Liz and will also conduct 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS755413, BS757459, BS746560, and BS7344580. At 0800hrs Alpha Company detained 3 VCS at BS770460. At 0735hrs Alpha Company change in plans will sweep north along access road leading to LZ Liz then sweep between highway 1 and rail road tracks sweeping to Highway 515. At 1455hrs Alpha Company at BS770460 3 detained 3 Military age with negative ID evac to LZ Bronco.
Bravo Company
May 19, 1969
Bravo Company conducted combat sweep with APC to the vicinity BS757400, BS735401, and BS746396. Bravo Company at 0945hrs at BS757398 found 3 graves containing 3 bodies in green uniforms killed by small arms fire also found canteen clothing cans of machkeral 4-5 days old, 3 NVA KIA and 1201hrs at location BS757398 engaged 1 VC hiding in hedge row evaded, results 1 VC KIA dressed in black PJ. At 1305hrs Bravo Company at BS757398 found 2 fresh graves contain 2 bodes 1 had a dink hat, and other had a green uniform shallow 8-10" deep 3 to 4 days old killed by shrapnel results 2 NVA KIA. At 2340hrs Bravo Company reports their locations Night Defense Position BS763400, ambush at BS761409 and BS755402 with 1 Platoon with 5 APC as at RIF at BS735401 and BS746396.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS8141, Charlie Company conducts saturation patrolling in the vicinity of ambush Alley and at 1530hrs Charlie Company detained 1 VCS and evac to Bronco for questioning. Charlie Company continues their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducted 1 platoon Recon in Force to vicinity BS774377, BS764407, and BS767365 with negative results. At 0935hrs Delta Company at BS775376 found booby trap Chi Com grenade with trip wire and blew it in place. At 1215hrs Delta Company at BS779365 found NVA trousers and personal gear and canteen. At 1303hrs Delta Company at BS779365 found came hole containing 1 AK magazine, 2 RPG containers, 1 NVA poncho, 1 aid kit, and rice bag container and destroyed in Place.
Echo Company
May 19, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon moved into Night ambush located vicinity BS818418.
