Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0140hrs Sa Huynh received small arms fire and M-79 fire, Hardstand also received small arms fire and M-79 fire. At 1050hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports that LRRP Nevada is located at BS636411. At 2200hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports Charlie Company on LZ Thunder engineer received 1 82mm mortar round from BS862318, Artillery received 60 rounds small arms fire, negative casualties or damage and return fire with unknown results.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0150hrs Vicinity MACV and Duc Pho received 8 RPG rounds and satchel charges. Fires burned on eastside of town. LZ Bronco received 1 RPG with result 2 PF KIA, 7 Civilians and 32 Civilians WIA with 50 huts destroyed and 4 VC KIA. At 0155hrs Bronco TOC vicinity BS812383 received 1 RPG round and at 0158hrs yellow alert negative casualties at 0250hrs gray alert light damage Gun ships scrambled at 0210hrs. At 1037hrs LZ Bronco 11th Brigade received 4 rounds 122mm, 2 hit Duc PHO, 2 hit LZ Bronco with result 1 WHA (E). At 1700hrs LZ Bronco and 11th Brigade received 7 140mm rockets with negative casualties. SP4 Arnulfo Aleman was evac to the 23rd Medical Battalion at 0705hrs sick.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued the Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with local ambushes and today will have 1 Platoon establish ambush vicinity BS914252. At 0145hrs Sa Huynh received small arms fire and M-79 fire. At 0830hrs Alpha Company closed on Charlie Brown. At 1025hrs 32 is at BS909207, and at 1200hrs had moved to BS905210 and at 1945hrs is set on their Ambush at BS914252, and at 1945hrs 37 is at BS918217.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and today conducts a Combat Assault to BS754459 and establish a Blocking Position vicinity BS754459 to BS762459 and then a Air move from Vicinity BS7545 to BS779437. At 1845hrs Bravo Company night position 86 at Bridge 124 and 85 LP at BS716437. At 1905hrs LZ Liz observed 8 or more figures moving east on 515 Valley with large unknown objects, called in 81mm Mortar and Artillery fire in on position with unknown results.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder with local ambushes and today conducts a Recon in Force to BS893312. At 0145hrs LZ Thunder TOC at 0145hrs vicinity BS875328 received 1000 rounds of small arms fire and automatic weapons fire with 5 mortar rounds results 3 WHA (M) and 1 KHA. At 0820hrs Charlie Company closed on LZ Thunder and at 1025hrs Charlie Company 52 is at BS882311. At 1900hrs Charlie Company Night positions 84 at BS887322. At 2200hrs Charlie Company at LZ Thunder engineer received 1 82mm mortar rounds from BS862318 and Artillery Position received 60 rounds small arms fire, negative casualties or damage, returned fire with unknown results.
Delta Company

Delta Company established their Night Defense Position vicinity BS911249, and today conducts company saturation patrolling from Night Defense Position north to Highway 1. At 1025hrs Delta Company at is at location Delta Company 82 at BS918240, 32 at BS919238 and Command Post, and 52 at BS914243. At 1905hrs Delta Company vicinity BS913241 engaged 2 VCS on motor bike results 2 VCS CIA, 1 VCS WIA, and Dust Off is completed at 1917hrs. At 1845hrs Delta Company Night Defense Position at BS913243, LP at BS913260, 33 at BS916251 and 51 at BS915243.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0820hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Liz. At 1810hrs Recon Platoon reports their night positions Recon at BS753415 with ambush at BS778435. At 2340hrs 1-20 Infantry reports location of Recon at BS768439.
