Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters Company on LZ Liz continued their Mission of working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0540hrs Recon is at BS757400 with found LOH which had been shot down, all in tact, have it secured at present time. At 0900hrs vicinity BS762446 Dust Off 2 Vietnam children with frag wounds. At 0934hrs Recon reports that chopper extraction was completed. Recon Platoon returned to LZ Liz to take up their Security Mission.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of providing general support to the Battalion and play a large role in Base Defense for LZ Bronco. At 0205hrs LZ Bronco Charlie sector of bunker line, Bunker 30 took hit with possible RPG, results in 1 US WIA (M) then engaged area with 81mm and 50 cal fire with unknown results. At 0420hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense observed 2-3 VC called in 4 4.2 rounds with unknown results. At 1625hrs MACV; DRP PRU report that Duc PHO and LZ Bronco will be hit tonight and tomorrow night between 2100hrs to 2400hrs. At 1910hrs 4-3 Infantry bunker line at LZ Bronco receiving intense small arms fire, resulting in 1 US WIA. At 2013hrs LZ Bronco taking incoming 82mm mortars, enemy grid at BS823367 and BS821367- Gun ships returning from Chu Lai will be working area; artillery called with unknown results. At 2013hrs LZ Bronco received 8 rounds 82mm, 3 sides of ill, 3 south end of hill between quad 50’s and outside wire, with negative casualties or damage, engaged area with 81mm and Artillery. At 2235hrs the Bunker line has had two reports of receiving incoming fire 1 RPG hit bunker causing 1 US WIA and intense small arms fire, 1 US WIA was evac. Late evening hours brought 8 rounds of 82mm mortar rounds to LZ Bronco resulting in negative casualties or damage.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company using a Recon in Force to BS797424 and at 1010hrs Alpha Company is at BS802425 and set up their Day Logger Position to used multiple patrolling and at 1130hrs found 1 NVA KBA about 6 hours old. At 1810hrs Alpha Company has moved to their Night Defense Position at BS788423 and at 2041hrs received small arms fire south of the blue line.
Bravo Company

At 0800hrs Bravo Company is at BS734431 which is their Day Logger. At 1100hrs the 123rd Aviation vicinity BS725426 had a Huey went down due to mechanical failure, Bravo Company is moving to secure area and secure area. At 1450hrs the 123rd Aviation at BS745413 observed 3 NVA with mortar tube and putting in Air Strike. At 1630hrs 123rd Aviation destroyed rockets, that was intact. At 1810hrs Bravo Company at BS730427 is moving to their Night Defense Position at BS729428 which they close on at 2110hrs.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Charlie Company has the 93 element to North OP and the 92 is on South OP.
Delta Company
June 19, 1969
At 1010hrs Delta Company at BS802429 their Day Logger. At 1125hrs Delta Company vicinity BS802429 require EOD to blow duds, PF found 1 body KBA has been KIA for about 2 days. At 1420hrs Delta Company at BS802429 found 2 more NVA KBA. At 2005hrs Delta Company has moved into their Night Defense Position at BS802429, 93 at BS803430, and 74 at BS802425.
Echo Company
June 19, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Echo Company reports SP4 Charles Goodrich was attached to 312th Evac Hospital (11B20). Recon reports still with down chopper at 0934hrs and by 1030hrs have returned to LZ Liz to continue their Security Mission.
