Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1130hrs Helix 35 is on station and checking grid BS7850. Found 1 fresh dug hole (3’ X 4’). Helix is now checking out the foot hills. At 1741hrs 26 Engineer reports a total of 72 hours 80 acres were cleared (500 X 500) from BS715682, BS751691, BS750691, BS746682, 2nd area BS747677 to BS744677 to BS745674 to BS747675. A total of 5 bunkers, 2 booby traps and 90 meters of trenches were destroyed with 650 gallons of fuel was used. They reports 8 D7 operational and 3 D7 deadline, 1 DEV operational, 1 AC is operational and 1 M548 is operational. At 1830hrs S-5 reports in the TAOR there were negative reports on leaflets and early word due to lack of communication. Report from Brigade S-5, the night broadcasts were conducted at grids BS7360 and BS7467, for targets at C-19 and C-65 with 15 minutes of broadcast were utilized for each target. Med Caps for the week that there were 370 civilian treated by Bravo Company personnel at grids BS706622 and BS733653. At 2350hrs Brigade was informed that a total of 26 mechanical ambushes were employed. LEGEND: 1st Platoon 24-29, 2nd Platoon 34-39, 3rd Platoon 54-59, 4th Platoon 14-19, CO 20.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz At 1400hrs Alpha Company and Charlie Company conduct Combat Assault which Alpha Company becomes OPCON to the 4-3 Infantry to conduct search and clear operation around the location BS600505. Charlie Company takes over the Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Bravo Company
July 19, 1970
Bravo Company continued their joint Operations with PF and RF units on their Hamlet Pacification and security of Highway 1. At 0915hrs Bravo Company the 57 element has closed at BS712584 and Bravo Company at BS707622 the 24 element found a 105round, 9 60mm rounds, and 3 Chi Com grenades all round destroyed at 1840hrs. At 1615hrs Bravo Company the 27 element is moving out to BS711621. The 28 element is moving out to BS690610. At 1640hrs Bravo Company 27 is at checkpoint 2 at BS718620. At 1709hrs Bravo Company the 28 element is at checkpoint # at BS689603 with the 37 element is moving out to BS752613. At 1755hrs Bravo Company the 28 element has closed at BS982609, the 27 element has closed at BS707622. The 28 element has a PF from PF 144 platoon who shot his toe off, request priority Dust Off. Dust Off bird #82 completed the Dust Off at 1810hrs. At 1840hrs Bravo Company 57 element at BS703590 pick up 2 female detainee 15-28, 1 wearing all black and other wearing parachute top and black bottoms, no ID to be sent to MACV Mo Duc tomorrow.
Charlie Company

At 01830hrs Charlie Company continued their Search and Clear Operations around their location at BS612522 and at 1344hrs Charlie Company is returned to 1-20 Infantry control Alpha Company is Combat Assaulted to 4-3 Infantry Control. At 1731hrs Charlie Company at BS777441 the 57 element called for an urgent Dust Off 1 mamasan shot in the leg, a Lambreta at grid BS765475. The female was hit during the ambush by VC dressed as PF. Charlie Company is in location on access road and is taking over the Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
July 19, 1970
At 0615hrs Delta Company 55 element is moving out to BS769579, 56 is moving to grid BS767574and the Delta 55 element is at checkpoint #1 at BS761578. At 0730hrs Delta Company 55 element at BS769592, picked up one male detainee, age 48, wearing all white. His name is Ho Whnon, he was not on the black list, with no ID, but he was released. At 0810hrs Delta 56 closed on their preplanned day Logger at BS767572. At 1620hrs Delta Company at grid BS750582 the 27 element called for and Urgent Dust Off for 1 US with Multiple frag wounds to the legs and head. He arrived in the Company 18 July 1970 from Charlie Company. His name if PFC Urbaniak. He stepped on booby trap with a pressure release and a small amount of explosive. Dust Off #82 completed the Dust Off at 1645hrs. At 2030hrs Delta Company all element is location the Command Post at BS755576, the 24 element is at BS748581 and the 34 element is at BS760565. At PFC David Urkaniak was evac to the 27 Surgical with multiple frag wounds to head, both legs and right arm.
Echo Company
July 19, 1970
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0916hrs Recon Platoon reports we caught a ride and are on the access road and closed on LZ Liz at 0930hrs. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for the 1-20 Infantry. At 1919hrs Recon Platoon 21 element is leaving the wire of LZ Liz. At 2025hrs Recon the 21 element is in location at BS771426, the 22element is at BS775422 and the 23 element is at BS774417.
