Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1111hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Delta Company 3-1 Infantry at BS805445 detained 1 VCS, female approximately 25 years old, had no ID card will evac to LZ Bronco for questioning. At 1335hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Delta Company 3-1 Infantry requested Dust Off for 2 US from 4th Platoon at LZ Dragon, individuals both have high fever and cramps, ETA for Dust Off is 10 minutes. At 1345hrs 1-20hrs Reports 2nd Platoon Delta Company 3-1 Infantry is at LZ Liz. At 1412hrs Delta Company 3-1 Infantry reports at BS783432 received 4-5 rounds small arms fire from northeast while crossing rice paddies, negative casualties. At 1455hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC request 2 scout dogs and 2 handlers to work with Delta Company 1-20 Infantry for 3 days period. Pick up with be Southeast pad at 0730hrs 20 July. At 1700hrs 3-1 TOC reports Responsibility for North Portion of Duc Pho Area of Operations Area of Operations passed back to 3-1 Infantry from 1-20 Infantry at 1700hrs. At 2315hrs MACV requested clearance on BS777396, BS774402, on 20 July 1968 from 0600 to 1200hrs for a (small operation), 1-20 Infantry had approved area for Operation.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

At 0955hrs Alpha Company is located at BS838297. At 1045hrs Alpha Company at BS841302 found 2 tunnels 4" X 2’ and 4’ X 5’ long were camouflaged with leaves, civilians say VC left area 3 to 4 days ago moving to South. At 1155hrs Alpha Company is located at BS844307. At 1345hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon and Command Post is located at BS845308 with 2nd Platoon at BS847307 and 3rd platoon at BS845306. At 1757hrs Alpha Company at BS845308 with ambushes at BS835313, BS849300, and BS843298.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
Charlie Company
July 19, 1968
At 0955hrs Charlie Company located at BS801404 and at 1155hrs Charlie Company is located at BS831397. At 1403hrs Charlie Company at BS834396 found 3 tunnels one 10’ X 7’, and 2 tunnels 4’ X 4’ X 14 ‘ search tunnel had not been used in several months destroyed. At 1757hrs Charlie Company is moved into their Night Defense Position at BS825396 with ambushes at BS827406, BS815403, and BS843395.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 0838hrs Delta Company at BS899209 detained 1 VCS (female) no ID also found misc. clothing in hut. At 1757hrs Delta Company is at LZ Charlie Brown with ambushes at BS895208, BS905209 and BS902231.
Echo Company
July 19, 1968
Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. Recon Platoon reports their location at LZ Bronco with reaction force.
