Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 2330hrs Mo Duc Advisor reports unknown size 2 or 3 VC infiltrated through wire and placed 3 charges on south end of Bridge 403. PF was supposed to be guarding bridge, believe PF were not there, first sign of it was when the charges were detonated. At 0930hrs 1-20 Infantry LCU loaded and departed from Alpha Company location and at 0930hrs Engineer released at this time.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company at 0800hrs Bravo Company is located at BS826445. By 1010hrs Alpha Company is at BS807480 and at 1210hrs Alpha Company at BS797469. At 1415hrs Alpha Company location is at BS823442. At 1500hrs LZ Thunder has a Name change to Debbie ASAP. At 1948hrs Alpha Company at BS997468 found sniper holes, good for ambushes also looking for weapons cache.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 0715hrs Bravo Company at BS885325 has 1 female VCS age about 30 no ID dresses in Black P.J. and she was evading, we think she tried to lead him into Punji pit. At 0730hrs Bravo Company requested a Priority Dust Off for a Vietnamese child 10 shot in stomach while evading, Dust Off completed at 0755hrs. At 0800hrs Bravo Company 33, 35, 31 elements are at BS899307 and at 0935hrs at BS899312 Bravo Company has 1 KIA 25 to 30 No ID. Bravo Company picked up 3 VCS males 2 dressed in while and 1 in blue had ID saying he is 40 looks younger, Command and Control Helicopter will take to LZ Liz. At 1500hrs LZ Thunder Name changed to Debbie ASAP. At 1840hrs Bravo Company at BS891310 engaged 1 VC with results 1 VC KIA.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. At 1005hrs Charlie Company at BS933240 had VC come out of hedgerow to their front called halt VC evaded 1 VC KIA age 16 to 18 wearing blue shorts and t-shirts 1 VC evaded age 25. At 1835hrs Charlie Company at Charlie Brown received local intelligence reported Bridge 92 and Bridge 93, SA Huynh and Charlie Brown hit tonight, source RF/PF who got it from Village people.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1500hrs LZ Thunder Name Change to Debbie. At 1725hrs Delta Company has requested a Dust Off for a Vietnamese female at BS765423 and at 1730hrs Delta Company observed 1 VC and 2 Vietnamese children (17 and 10 years old) with hand grenade jump into a tunnel engaged tunnel with hand grenade with results 3 VC KIA and also captured 8 VCS 5 females and 3 males negative weapons or ID where evac to LZ Bronco.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters is located at LZ Liz. The 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Charlie Brown, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the LZ Charlie Brown. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
