Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at Nghia Hanh (BS616638) for OPERATION NORFOLK VICTORY. At 1815hrs 1-20 Infantry movement of Alpha Company at 0825hrs, Charlie Company at 1405hrs and Delta Company at 1543hrs with Recon and Battalion Headquarters at 1815hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1120hrs 6th Support have a gas tanker on fire at the sanitary fill, 1 US injured PFC Black was Dust Off. At 1935hrs LZ Bronco reports kids were throwing rocks at bunker #25. At 2154hrs Bunkers 25, 26, and 27 have received small arms rounds. At 2300hrs Bunker 29 reports that they have received small arms rounds.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company is air move to LZ Ross and OPERATION WHEELER-WALLOWA with the 1st Battalion 20th Infantry OPCON to the 198th Infantry Brigade instead of the 196th Infantry Brigade. As the Americal Division shipped their Areas of Operations north to Support the Marines The 1st Battalion 20th Infantry was place in the Que Son Valley area in position to support and to defend their Area of Operation. Alpha Company was extracted at 0825hrs and at 0930hrs Division reports that Alpha Company has arrived and located at BT028390 and taken over the Security Mission for LZ Ross. At 2027hrs Alpha Company reports 1 US WHA in afternoon, time and place unknown gun shot wound in leg roster number 310.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Ryder and OP in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
April 19, 1968
Air movement by will be made by CH 47, they will move the remainder of the 1-20 Infantry with 174th AVN Gun Ships providing security for 0730hrs extraction. Alpha Company has arrived at their new location at BT028390. Charlie Company is moved at 1405hrs and Delta Company and Recon Platoon, Headquarters at 1543hrs. Charlie Company will participate in Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA again. At 1635hrs 196 Infantry Brigade reports Alpha Company at BT055405 at 1305hrs received 2 rounds of small arms fire from 900 meters northeast and called artillery with unknown results. At 1330hrs received 4 more rounds small arms fire from BT078406 with results 1 US WIA and evac.
Delta Company

Delta Company and the 1st Battalion 20 Infantry is airlift to LZ Ross and OPCON to the 198th Infantry Brigade. Delta Company will participate in Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA again. Delta Company takes over the Security Mission for LZ Ross and OPCON to 198th Light Infantry Brigade.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Ross where the Battalion Forward is located. The 4.2 Platoon reports at 0800hrs 2 tubes 4.2 moving from LZ Ryder to LZ Ross at this time and movement is completed at 0945hrs.
