Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1305hrs E Troop at BS843367 observed 3 Vietnamese inside of a bunker and will take them into custody. At 1635hrs E Troop reports 1 Vietnamese female shot by US EM, unit unknown found at sanitary fill and evac.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. S-4 section will send another team to LZ Baldy to insure the supply system is in place for the 1-20 Infantry move north to be OPCON to the 196th Light Infantry Brigade still maintain their team in Chu Lai.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At1030hrs Alpha Company at BS882318 engaged 1 VC results is 1 VC KIA, Walter P38 pistol is CIA. At 1500hrs Alpha Company 3rd Platoon has 2 ambushes moving out to their location at BS820398 and BS833395 vicinity of LZ Bronco and. at 1830hrs Alpha Company reports ambushes area in their location BS820398 and BS833395.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Recon in Force and Search and Destroy operations in their Area of Operation and at 0920hrs they are located at BS807315. At 1330hrs Bravo Company is located at BS817318. At 1830hrs Bravo Company is located at LZ Thunder as they prepare for their move north.
Charlie Company
March 18, 1968
At 0835hrs Charlie Company is located at BS728774 and using a Search and Destroy operations. At 0955hrs Charlie Company at BS732796 and by 1225hrs they are at BS735798, 2 slightly wounded by frag from booby trap hand grenade, Dust Off requested and completed. At 1410hrs Charlie Company informed that vicinity BS735759 on March 17, 1968 1 VC female who said she was a cook for a 10 man VC unit. The VC had 2 .45 pistols, 1 carbine and 2 hand grenades. She also said that on 15 March 1968 200 NVA passed through Son My Village, they were wearing green trousers, brown shirts, sandals, cowboy hats, they were in teams of 50. They had 3 mortars, 3 machine guns and AK 47’s, also had 2 other detainees give same info. At 1635hrs Charlie Company is extracted to LZ Dottie. Charlie Company has taken over the Security Mission for LZ Dottie. Charlie Company reports PFC Leonard Gonzalez and PFC Roy F. Trevino where evac to 2nd Surgical Hospital.
Delta Company
March 18, 1968
Delta Company continued to use Recon in Force movement with Search and Destroy operations in their Area of Operation and at 0920hrs is located at BS767356. At 1018hrs Delta Company at BS773355 found 9 loaded M-16 magazines, 3 Bar Magazines, 30 rounds of M-60 ammo and 1 VC Bra. At 1330hrs Delta Company is located at BS793378 and at 1830hrs Delta Company is located at LZ Bronco.
Echo Company
March 18, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion and prepare for the move north. At 0920hrs Recon Platoon is at BS895305 and moving to LZ Thunder to prepare to move North with the Battalion.
