Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. 0735hrs Delta Company 93 and Charlie Company 26 Engineer, our present location and work location is at BS738595. At 0954hrs TMF at 0950hrs String 66 was activated by 6 personnel that where moving from the southeast to the northwest at 1 mile per hour with metal detected. It was shot at 0959hrs with 27 HE rounds of VT Artillery 105mm. At 1122hrs M26 we are located at BS738634. At 1330hrs Mo Duc recent update report from Mo Duc says that since the 1-20 Infantry has been working in their district they have had 15 Chieu Hoi. At 1720hrs M26 from 181500 to 181600hrs from grid BS733636 we received sniper fire. The unit is the 183 RF and M26W. A VC Platoon initiated (3 point) ambush from BS743642 to BS7256280 to BS730630 with 3 RF were WIA with enemy situation unknown.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road Security. At 0630hrs Alpha Company 17 element is moving out to pick up their Mechanical Ambushes.
Bravo Company
June 18, 1970
At 1130hrs Bravo Company we request Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female at BS771461 she had a leg blown off and is believed to be due to booby trap north of location BS782409, completed at 1140hrs. At 1820hrs the 54 element found and blew in place 8" round BS702415. At 1915hrs Bravo Company 98 on their patrol engaged 3 VC near a bunker at BS793468. The results are 1 VC KIA and 3 ammo cans full of documents CIA. Also they found heavy blood trails leading into a heavily wood area where we lost the trail. We also found 1 US grenade (M26), a can of food, a transistor radio, 22,500 piasters were all CIA.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company is Sweeping Operations in the Area of Operation and at 1945hrs move into their Night Defense Position at BS733490 and with multiple snakes out.
Delta Company
June 18, 1970
At 0512hrs Delta Company (-) is moving to BS738620 and the Delta 13 element is moving to BS725620. At 0632hrs Delta Company Late Report Equipment captured for the 2 NVA includes 2 Packs, 1 NVA uniform in each pack, 1 NVA pistol belt with each NVA, 2 AJ-47, small amount food, 2 hammocks, a small amount of medical supplies, civilian clothes and personnel letters. At 0735hrs Delta Company 93 and Charlie Company 26 Engineer reports our present location and work location is at BS738595. At 0740hrs Charlie Company 26 Engineer at 0715hrs reports we had a D7 blade detonate one 105mm round Booby Trap at BS739595. It is unknown how the round was booby trap, with no damage or casualties. At 0819hrs Delta Company is moving to BS735620 with our Cordon and Search completed. At 0845hrs Charlie Company and Charlie Company 26 Engineer and Delta Company 93 we found 1 antipersonnel booby trap at BS740593. It was in a can a little larger than a soda can. It had bits of shrapnel and a firing device from a smoke grenade. It was on the ground and blown in place. At 0930hrs Delta Company we are in location at BS735620. At 1315hrs Delta Company 93 we found and blew in place at 155mm round booby trap with trip wire type device at BS750586. The booby trap was found by a scout dog, and it left a crater 5’ X 1 ½’. At 1330hrs the Charlie Company 26 Engineer a D7 detonated a 155mm round, booby trap with a trip wire-firing device at grid BS751586. Negative casualties with a D7 with 4 track pads and front track roller blown off. At 1905hrs Delta Company we are moving to our Night Defense Position at BS732489. At 1925hrs Delta Company 93 and Charlie Company 26 Engineer we took 3 incoming 60mm mortar rounds, 1 of which hit inside the perimeter, at BS743593. The suspected enemy location is at BS75288. The area was engaged with small arms fire, 50 caliber and artillery with unknown results. At 2029hrs Delta Company has closed and multiple snakes are in their position.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 4.2 Platoon reports Fire Mission 4 for a total expended of 73 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 2042hrs Recon Platoon reports 21 is at BS752443, 22 is at BS750447 and the 23 element is at BS753450.
