Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters Company on LZ Liz continued their Mission of working with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1600hrs 123 Aviation vicinity BS758397 LOH was shot down, crew uninjured and extracted, aircraft being secured by Recon Platoon will secure until extracted tomorrow and then return to LZ Liz. At 2244hrs a large explosion was not incoming, person threw a grenade and it hit a barrel of gas.
Battalion Rear: The Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support but also large role in Base Defense of LZ Bronco. LZ Bronco picked up large target moving at BS82904025; possible troops on line fired 4 4.2 and 6 VT fuse for Artillery 105 will H&I route of travel. At 2200hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 5 VC at BS823403 and fired 12 rounds 81mm rounds and 3 rounds of Artillery 105mm. And then at 2155hrs they picked up 7 VC at BS829400 and fired 8 rounds 81mm rounds.
Alpha Company

At 1000hrs Alpha Company is located at BS796424 and set up their Day Logger. At 1600hrs Alpha Company has moved to BS791426 and then joined Delta Company at BS801426 and BS795427 to sweep the old contact area. At 1953hrs Alpha Company moved to their Night Defense Position at BS788423.
Bravo Company

At 0930hrs Bravo Company vicinity BS746414 received small arms fire and mortar rounds, at 0950hrs vicinity BS745416 we have one KHA from mortar enemy located at BS747408. At 1000hrs Bravo Company at BS745416 and moving to BS716414 at 1050hrs engaged 4 NVA with small arms fire and Warlord results 2 NVA KIA and 6 VC/NVA KIA. At 1140hrs Bravo Company vicinity BS745416 resupply received fire, 1 pilot hit with small arms fire and chopper return to Duc Pho. Bravo Company is still in their Day Logger at BS745416 and at 1712hrs Bravo Company at BS745416 receiving incoming 2 to 3 rounds mortar also small arms fire with results of 2 WHA with chest wounds, Dust Off has been called and completed at 1745hrs. At 1953hrs Bravo Company moved to their Night Defense Position at BS729425 and closed on it at 2105hrs. Bravo Company reports SGT THOMAS ALAN WILLARD LISTED AS KHA, with PFC Joseph Plevock, PFC Albert L. Gary, PFC William Divins and SP4 Frank Dicrescio where evac.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
June 18, 1969
Delta Company conducts a Combat Assault 1st PZ 0630hrs and LZ at 0652 cold. At 0820hrs Delta Company at BS795421 observed 5 NVA/VC engaged with unknown results. At 1030hrs Delta Company vicinity BS795421 had 1 WHA (E) from hand grenades booby trap. At 1425hrs Delta Company at BS801428 received small arms fire with results 2 US WIA 1 from Charlie Company 26 Engineer and Delta company with Dust Off completed at 1445hrs. At 1740hrs Delta Company at BS801428 received 3 to 4 RPG rounds while moving back into the APC and 1 US WHA (E). At 1810hrs Delta Company reports at BS801428 1 US WHA evac at 0815hrs by Command and Control Helicopter. Delta Company and Alpha Company are sweeping the area of contact again with negative results. At 1958hrs Delta Company 34 at BS791481 and 72 is at BS792426. SP4 Jerry Wilkerson and PFC William Auburn was evac to 312th Evac Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 1000hrs Recon Platoons reports their location at BS767453. At 1220hrs Recon Platoon reports still at LZ Liz. At 2025hrs Recon Platoon is at BS758400 providing Security for the Down LOH until extracted tomorrow.
