Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0730hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry 81 element at BS783397 received automatic weapons fire from 3 positions 1 US WIA evac with leg wound Dust Off completed at 0710hrs. 11th Brigade Command and Control Helicopter at BS782384 spotted VC Flag flying over, received fire from BS776388, BS787386 with negative assessment. At 0845hrs Quang Ngai requests air strike to clear VC Flag flying. At 1955hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry will move with APC will call as soon as we get locations. At 1730hrs Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry night position BS826367 and BS828363. At 2025hrs Delta Company at LZ Dragon observed movement southeast about 400 meters from perimeter, fired illumination and small arms fire, negative assessment. MAVC Duc Pho he reported from village council of Pho Hiep, reports VC are taking workers with shovels and nets.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. SP4 Ronald L. Sampson was evac to 312th Evac Hospital sick at 1100hrs.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Charlie Brown with 21 on Bridge 94 and 23 on Bridge 95. At 1140hrs Charlie Company 61 is at BS854295 and at 1730hrs 81 on Bridge 94 and 81 on Bridge 95 with 69 at BS935227 and 23 at BS918212. 1-20 Infantry SRRP reports Jennifer at BS863297 and Dana closed.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with 82 at Bridge 124, 24 at BS753436, 69 at BS754420 and 86 at BS765456. At 1110hrs Bravo Company at BS757455 found VCS about 20, negative ID, detained 1 VC suspect who was hiding in a hut. At 1730hrs Bravo Company are located with 21 on Bridge 124, 24 LP/OP at BS753436, the 69 LP/OP is at BS754420. 1-20 Infantry SRRP reports Jennifer at BS863297 and Dana closed.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder with the 61 element at 1000hrs vicinity BS864305. At 1440hrs Charlie Company closed on LZ Thunder. 1-20 Infantry SRRP reports Jennifer at BS863297 and Dana closed.
Delta Company

Delta Company OPCON to 4-21 Infantry continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. 0950hrs Delta Company at BS709544 hit unknown type of booby trap (homemade) results was 3 multiple frag wounds WHA Dust Off completed at 0955hrs. At 2025hrs Delta Company on LZ Dragon observed movement southeast about 400 meters from perimeter, fired Illumination and small arms fire, negative assessment. 1-20 Infantry SRRP reports Jennifer at BS863297 and Dana closed. Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0955hrs Recon Platoon reports location at BS733444 and at 1000hrs is at BS722447 and return to LZ Liz.
