Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0500hrs 1-20 Infantry Radar at 0515hrs at BS780497 sighted 8 to 10 stationary personnel and response with 16 HE rounds Artillery 105mm, at 1935hrs at BS790443 spotted 20 to 30 stationary personnel and report 32 HE rounds Artillery 105mm. At 2140hrs at BS828419 sighted 3 to 5 stationary reported 4 HE rounds Artillery 155mm. At 2145hrs at BS753463 sighted 3 to 4 personnel moving southwest received negative clearance and at 2150hrs at BS8383996 sighted 4 to 6 station personnel and report 13 HE rounds Artillery 155mm. At 1240hrs 1-20 Infantry Bridge 402 reports 2 US vehicle had an accident and request Military Police and by 1250hrs they are on their way.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Alpha Company conducted roving patrols along assess road.
Bravo Company
April 18, 1970
Bravo Company continued their work with the RF and PF and Security Mission for the hamlets, and the Pacification Program in their Area of Operation. Bravo Company is using multiple patrolling and Day Ambushes and some Cordon and Search operations in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
April 18, 1970
Charlie Company using Day Ambushes and multiple patrolling in their Area of operation with Command Post and Platoon at BS745436, Platoon at BS749446 other platoon at BS752465. At 1230hrs Charlie Company at BS756459 the 61 element had 1 Vietnamese child turn in 1 M-26 grenade and bought it for 100 P. At 1345hrs Charlie Company at BS735464 found 1 105 Booby Trap with 2 type C battery and found on the trail and blew it in place. At 1625hrs Charlie Company at BS735464 found 2 X 105 booby trap and blew in place were set up on the trail and we blew in place. Charlie Company established their Night Defense Position at BS737448 with multiply ambushes.
Delta Company

Delta Company will established their Day Loggers at BS747436 and BS743485 and 772353 and will use multiple patrolling and some Day Ambushes in their Area of Operation. Delta Company will establish their Night Defense Position at BS800477. At 1300hrs Delta Company conduct a Combat Assault PZ at 1150hrs and LZ at 1240hrs and LZ cold. At 1815hrs Delta Company at BS780494 found fresh bunkers (3-4 men size) and some fresh graves, request demo and shovels. Then at BS795495 spotted 2 VC carrying rice baskets moving west at 500 meters pursued and detained 1 female 30, wearing black with no ID. She stated her companion was a male VC. It is unknown if male had weapon or what type of clothing he wore, will extract to Bronco in morning Brigade S-2 had her evac to LZ Bronco tonight. At 2015hrs Delta Company reports their Night Defense Position at BS800477 with multiple ambushes.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 1650hrs Recon Platoon will remain at LZ Bronco until 1700hrs then moved to BS8141. At 1952hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS812411. At 2015hrs Recon Platoon reports their location 61 at BS812411, 63 at BS816404 and 64 at BS822414.
