Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at Nghia Hanh (BS616638) for OPERATION NORFOLK VICTORY. At 1820hrs 1-20 Infantry at BS636644, turned in by Vietnamese on VIP program 5 81mm rounds, 8 60mm rounds, 3 57 RR rounds, 1 105mm round, Chi Com Hand grenades, and 1 M2A3 15 pound shape charge. At 2000hrs Late entry, Division Aviation Schedule for Air lift on 19 April at 0730hrs 3 CH 47 will move elements of 1-20 Infantry and at 0815hrs 5 CH 47 will insert elements of 4-21 Infantry to Charlie Brown. At 0830hrs 5 CH47 will begin air lift of Bravo 6-11 from 1-20 Infantry location at LZ Sue repeat lift until completion of extraction following extraction of Bravo Company 6-11 and then the CH47 will move the remainder of 1-20 Infantry. The 174 Gun Ship will provide security for 0730hrs extraction of 1-20 Infantry and 0815hrs insertion of 4-21 Infantry. Scout Platoon 123 Aviation will provide security for all other lifts from 1-20 Infantry.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to work Search and Clear operations in their Area of Operation as they waiting for transportation back North to the Que Son Valley Area of Operation and Operation WHEELER-WALLOWA
Bravo Company
April 18, 1968
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Ryder and OP in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
April 18, 1968
At 1020hrs Charlie Company is at BS580640 and at 1134hrs Charlie Company at BS586633 found 13 rounds 30caliber ammo for a carbine, also some documents. At 1300hrs Charlie Company is at BS580640. At 1920hrs Charlie Company with ambushes at BS574644, BS567636 and BS575636.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued Sweep and Clear operations of the area and prepared to move back North to LZ Ross and possible OPCON to 198th control. Further Operation for 1-20 Infantry was put off due to activities in the northern part of the, I Corp Area of Operation.
Echo Company
April 18, 1968
Echo Company is located at Nghia Hanh where Battalion Forward is located and coordinates with the Battalion Rear and S-4 section established part of the Rear Forward location. The 4.2 Mortar Platoon is moved to LZ Ryder where they are setting up to provide direction fire support for Battalion Operations. At 1015hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS616636 and at 1300hrs Recon reports their location at BS616644.
