Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0715hrs Resupply bird is on station Hornet 39. At 1045hrs S-4 reports Minuteman 28 is on station replacing Hornet 39 for resupply.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
September 17, 1971
At 0820hrs Alpha Company Command Post and 1st Platoon is at AT884264 and 2nd Platoon is at AT884264. At 1650hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon is moving to AT899264 and Alpha Company 1st Platoon is moving to tunnels found yesterday at AT887260 and blew the tunnels at 1800hrs. At 1920hrs Alpha Company Command Post and 1st Platoon has moved into their Night Defense Position at AT890264 with 2 Mechanical Ambushes out tonight. At 1925hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon in their Night Defense Position at AT889264.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West with some Defense Patrolling around the Fire Base.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Siberia with some Defense Patrolling around the Fire Base.
Delta Company
September 17, 1971
At 1800hrs Delta Company is moving to their new Night Defense Position at AT864254 and then at 1830hrs as they move with Recon on AT890261 which is now their Night Defense Position and they will have one mechanical ambush out. At 1930hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Mechanical Ambushes out Alpha 2, Delta 1 and Recon 0 for a total of 3 out.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 1620hrs Recon is moving out to AT859248.
