Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0810hrs Alpha Company 39 Engineer roads open to LZ Max. At 0833hrs Road is open south to LZ Charlie Brown 4-21 Infantry. At 0855hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer reports road is open to Chu Lai from LZ Bronco. At 0945hrs Charlie Company 39 Engineer at BS909141 found one anti tank mine equipment to 30 pounds of C-4 blew in place. At 1335hrs MP’s roving patrol 10 reported Bunker 27 is receiving small arms fire.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Land Clearing Operation. Alpha Company is at BS833437 working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. Alpha Company at Night the ambush locations are 62 BS848402, 38 and APC at BS822424, 42 at BS821431, and 63 at BS840402. At 1600hrs Alpha Company, Engineer report on land clearing total 125 Acres BS827411, BS830413, and BS835405 with no Bobby Traps. At 1943hrs Alpha Company at BS840402 observed a boat with 8 VC/NVA in it, 150-200 meters from the 63 element engaged with small arms and received small arms fire. Boat was abandoned, result one boat destroyed.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company is at BS783433 working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 0915hrs Bravo Company at BS774443 request Urgent Dust Off for Vietnamese child suffering from Malnutrition, condition very weak, Dust Off completed at 0935hrs by Command and Control Helicopter. At 1220hrs Bravo Company at BS783437, Ranger squad spotted one NVA they gave pursuit while searching the area they found a pair of green pants. They are holding one VCS, which will evac to Bronco. Bravo Company at 1950hrs has multiple, joint ambushes tonight. At 2317hrs Bravo Company at BS783433 observed 2 VC at BS783431 engaged with small arms fire unknown results at this time.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1215hrs at BS802460, Charlie Company picked up one VC/NVA Chieu Hoi dressed in blue clothing and black shirts will be evac to Bronco. Charlie Company ambushes locations 14 at BS745418, 95 BS966436, 15 BS773442, and 65 at BS767439.
Delta Company

At 0755hrs Delta Company is located at BS794459 and at 0915hrs at BS794453 requests Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female with a new born child suffering from complications Dust Off Company by Command and Control Helicopter at 0945hrs. At 1420hrs Delta Company at BS797407 And by 1530hrs Delta Company at BS800459 found 5 tons of rice the rice will be moved to a new location by the villagers. At 1950hrs Delta Company are in their Night Defense Position at BS794459, 12 at BS814406 and 14 at BS813401, 94 at BS800456. At 2130hrs Delta 63 at BS793454 had 5 to 6 NVA walk into their ambush blew claymores negative friendly casualties or damage results 1 NVA KIA will check further in the morning.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and at 1905hrs Recon reports that at BS750457, one VCS walked right into them and will evac to Bronco tomorrow.
