Forward Area: 1-20 infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. Bravo Company remains OPCON to 4-21 Infantry. At 0845hrs War Lords report fighting holes and tunnels vicinity BS747373, trench line at BS746370, BS751377 tunnels, fight holes, Bunkers at BS746379 tunnels and fighting holes. At BS753375 tunnels, and at BS739382 tunnels and BS748380 fighting holes. At 1132hrs LZ Liz request Dust Off for 2 VC children who received frag in back and stomach, other with frag in legs and arms completed at 1155hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0430hrs LZ Bronco received 8 round of 75 recoilless rifle, impacted in the 174th Aviation area, destroyed, pol truck and knocked out power lines, no known casualties at this time. At 1100hrs General Tuan visited Dragon advises everybody US and ARVN that enemy have and are making contact with him many Air Craft and suggest extreme care in deploying Gun Ships. Alpha Company

Alpha Company conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to BS7774432, BS768442, and BS737455 and continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1325hrs Alpha Company at BS786367 spotted 5 NVA with packs moving west.
Bravo Company
May 17, 1969
At 1020hrs Bravo Company remains OPCON to 4-21 Infantry reports location at BS766379. Bravo Company with 1 platoon APC will secure Village at vicinity BS755380 for Bulldozer to destroy. At 2145hrs Bravo Company return to 1-20 Infantry control with their locations the 43 and 44 at BS760381 from BS755385 and BS752380 with Night Defense Position at BS767381.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company conducts 1 platoon Recon in Force to BS805417 and conduct saturation patrolling vicinity BS8042 and continued their joint operation with 1 Platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts saturation patrolling vicinity BS8036 in their Area of Operation and then prepared, for a Combat Assault in the morning. At 1835hrs Delta Company located in their Night Defense Position at BS787377 with the 45 element at BS786391.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon conducted their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0800hrs Recon reports their location at BS817287. At 1610hrs Recon Platoon reports they are back on LZ Liz.
