Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters Company on LZ Liz continued their Mission of working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 2125hrs the 1-20 Infantry reported engaged squad size element of the Western side of perimeter with small arms fire with unknown results.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission providing general support for the Battalion. At 0200hrs LZ Bronco picked up 5-6 VC at BS833399 fired 81mm mortars on target unknown results. At 0202hrs Bronco received 1 round of recoilless or RPG and impact area between pl. and PRIMO, dud round will maintain white alert statue. At 0300hrs LZ Bronco received 4-6 rounds unknown type mortar vicinity BS80774077 taken under fire with 81mm mortars rounds landed in Alpha sector of perimeter. At 1300hrs LZ Bronco follow up report; in Alpha Sector received 12 rounds of 82mm and counter mortar fired at BS80774077 with Artillery and 81mm rounds results negated casualties or damage.
Alpha Company

At 1810hrs Alpha Company using a Recon in Force to BS795426 set up a Patrol Base and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation and at 1155hrs Alpha Company has moved to BS787426. At 1415hrs Alpha Company at BS801429 Warlord spotted NVA and 51 Cal Machinegun pop smoke to mark the place and popped smoke also at 1530hrs Alpha Company is in their Patrol Base received 1 mortar round unknown size. Alpha Company then moves into their Night Defense Position at BS784720.
Bravo Company

At 0810hrs Bravo Company is located at BS723425 which they used as a Day Logger. Bravo Company then used multiple patrolling and saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1303hrs Bravo found a grave with body less then 24 hours old NVA KBA. At 1635hrs Bravo and Delta Company at BS738416 received unknown size or number of Mortar rounds with negative casualties or damage and then moved to their Night Defense Position at BS738431.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Delta Company
June 17, 1969
At 0810hrs Delta Company is located at BS717425 and using saturation patrolling in their Area of Operations. At 1210hrs Delta Company vicinity BS724408 discover 1 NVA KBA, and 51 caliber ammo, and at 1305hrs 3 More NVA KBA vicinity BS717425 KBA. At 1608hrs Delta Company at BS705421 received 75 recoilless rifle fire unknown # of rounds. Command and Control Helicopter has tube pinned down at the above coordinates and called Air Strike with negative results. At 1635hrs Bravo and Delta Company at BS738416 received unknown size or number of Mortar rounds with negative casualties or damage. At 2015hrs Delta Company is moving into their Night Defense Position BS726433, 34 BS726434, 94 at BS726432.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0810hrs Recon Platoon on LZ Liz and at 2125hrs Recon Platoon reported engaged squad size element off the western side of perimeter with small arms fire with unknown results.
