Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. 1-20 Infantry received report from Engineer on Land Clearing Operation 150 acres cleared BS834406, BS838403, BS845412 and BS847415.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0115hrs LZ Bronco radar spotted 5 personnel moving east vicinity BS839393 engaged with artillery and 81mm mortar. At 0145hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense A, B, and C on modified 2 Alert. MACV reported small contact at civilian Hospital. At 0615hrs Base Defense Radar detected 30-35 personnel stationary at BS798447 engaged with Artillery.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Land Clearing Operation. At 0659hrs Alpha Company at BS830447 found a Decomposed Body wearing a green uniform also he was armed with a 7.62 pistol, M20 SN 11423. They think he was killed 3 days ago when they shot 5 NVA. At 0920hrs at BS838404, picked up one man with a military haircut, he was wearing shorts and black shirts, he had a gunshot wounds in the left leg. Wound was approximately 2 days old, the Kit Carson Scout will question him. He is a Chieu Hoi will be evac to Bronco. At 1425hrs Alpha Company discovered at BS844410 discovered 2 VC KBA 3 to 4 days ago, no ID or no weapons. At 1500hrs Engineer reports 150 acres cleared BS834406, BS838403, BS845412 and BS847415. At 2000hrs Alpha Company reports OP at BS833437, 93 at BS848403, and 92 at BS837401.
Bravo Company

At 0144hrs Bravo at BS783443 received sniper fire from the north, returned fire results one RF was KIA, engaged enemy grid at BS773435 with 81mm mortar fire. At 0104hrs Bravo Company at BS778445 record unknown type of mortar round approximately 2 rounds, and AK 47 fire from BS770449 results is one US WHA (M) he will be evac in the morning. At 0140hrs Bravo Company at BS783433 received sniper fire from the north, returned fire results one RD KIA, engaged enemy at grid BS773435 with 81mm Mortar fire. At 0659hrs Bravo Company at BS778445 requests Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese baby with frag wound in the back and head, also one old Vietnamese man with frag wounds in the ankle. The individuals received the wounds when they were mortared at 0140hrs, Dust Off completed at 0728hrs. At 0640hrs Bravo Company at BS785464 (ambush Location) was returning to Day Logger with one VCS that they picked up on their way. Information given to SGT Williams, but he would not accept it from SGT Baker said he could not classify them as VCS. At 1011hrs Bravo Company at BS783433 requests Dust Off for one Vietnamese child hit by a Vietnamese truck license #9974, the truck was heading south Dust Off completed at 1017hrs. At 2000hrs Bravo Company location Command Post, 12, 42, Rangers and 217 at BS789417, 66 and 215 BS778445, 62 and 126 PF BS771461, 92 and 147 PF BS789417, 66 and 215 PF at BS777437.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1950hrs at BS741424, one US stepped on a pressure type mine, did not detonate as he left his foot on it and requested EOD team at 1956hrs. The EOD team was delivered with Gun Ships and a Flare ship. At 2145hrs the mission completed, man safe and EOD team will be evac tomorrow. Charlie Company with multiple ambushes out tonight 96 at BS742428, 64 at BS762437, 66 at BS768440, 15 at BS771443 and at 2145hrs Charlie Company changed location of the 96 element to BS742428.
Delta Company

At 0805hrs Delta Company at BS814406 conduct a Combat Assault 1st PZ 1212hrs and LZ at 1304hrs. At 1340hrs Delta at BS793459 detained 1 VC female evading she is the wife of a VC village chief, she is responsible for collecting rice in the area and she will be evac to Bronco. Delta Company is at BS793438 at 1410hrs and at 1710hrs at BS800465 detained 1 man the individual has an ID card believe to be a fake, and will be evac to Bronco. At 1830hrs Delta Company is located at BS793439 and detained 1 female VCS she keeps returning to location, where people had been removed form evac to Bronco. At 2000hrs Delta Company Night Defense Position is at BS797759, 12 at BS817407, 63 BS794453, BS799458, and 14 at BS820409. PFC RONALD WAYNE IRELAND was listed as KHA (Died of Wounds) from the action on November 15, 1969.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission on LZ Liz.
