Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1100hrs General Tuan visited Dragon advises everybody US and ARVN that enemy have and are making contact with him many Air Craft and suggest extreme care in deploying Gun Ships. MACV Duc Pho Agent Report passed by Duc Pho at BS745414, BS746404, BS752397, and BS753402 are elements of 2nd NVA Battalion, 300 workers for carrying Ammo, and have 1 machinegun with 5 barrels.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0920hrs 19 Engineer had 1 B-40 rocket fired and about 20 rounds of sniper fire at BS815359. At 1050hrs 19 Engineer at 815357 taking fire from hill request guns on mission will deploy ASAP 1 US WIA (E).
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and conducts a 1 platoon Recon in Force to BS725432, BS765406, BS779418, and BS774432. At 0925hrs Alpha Company at 771461 little people and the 96 element received AK fire from southeast with result was 4 RF/PF WIA called Dust Off Completed at 0928hrs. At 1105hrs Alpha Company at BS771461 request Dust Off for 2 Vietnamese children serious frag wounds from 4.2 Mortar rounds, Dust Off completed at 1116hrs.
Bravo Company

At 1110hrs Brave Company Combat Air Move changed Plans PZ BS771372, LZ BS7254253Bravo Company did conduct air move to vicinity BS725425 completed at 1330hrs, then conduct a Combat Assault at 1613hrs to BS753375 which is completed at 1638hrs and are OPCON to 4-21 Infantry to take up blocking position at BS7638. At 1425hrs Bravo Company hit with RPG, small arms and automatic weapons fire, 1 track knock out 3 US WIA (E) Dust Off completed at 1505hrs. At 1740hrs at BS761375 Bravo Company (-) is hit by small arms fire with results of 1 US with gun shot wound, 1Stomach called Urgent Dust Off and completed at 1750hrs. SGT JOSEPH VIINCENT SCHMIDT Bravo Company and 1LT ROY WILLIAMS DUNBAR Charlie Battery 6-11 Artillery is LISTED AS KHA.. 1LT David M. Hunt was evac. At 2000hrs Bravo Company reports for the day 1 KIA with 4 WIA, 1 Artillery KIA, and 1 ARVN interpreter WIA.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company Conducts 1 Platoon Recon in Force to Vicinity BS813424, BS805417 and continued they’re joint operation with 1 platoon of PF to secure Pacification Program in their Area of Operation. At 0950hrs Charlie Company at BS794421 received several rounds of sniper fire from believe 1 VC, Command and Control Helicopter is over target and fired with unknown results. At 1815hrs Charlie Company at BS788425 has one US high fever and one Vietnamese female with gunshot rounds Dust Off completed at 1827hrs. At 1930hrs Charlie Company received 4 rounds of semi automatic weapons fire, came from north, northeast 400 to 500 meters. PFC David W. Collins was attached to the 37th Evac Hospital.
Delta Company

Delta Company conducts Company size Recon in Force to BS777376 with tracks and 1 Platoon of Delta Company is saturation patrolling at BS8036. At 1200hrs Delta Company at BS775376 found containers for carrying rice by VC, PRU subjects burning down Ville, with their 93 element is located at BS793373.

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0900hrs Recon reports their location at BS762436. At 1405hrs Recon reports they are located at LZ Liz.
