Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1307hrs 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP Bald Eagle location at BS655392 and at 1305hrs vicinity BS661389 found a campsite. At 1030hrs 1-20 Infantry Charlie Company at LZ Thunder Dust Off for malaria case completed at 1053hrs. At 1420hrs 1-20 Infantry SRRP at 1230hrs vicinity BS783405, called artillery for unknown movement with negative results. At 1519hrs 1-20 Infantry Idaho inserted vicinity BS655392 and at 1704hrs LRRP Idaho vicinity BS651387 observed 1 NVA with weapon. At 2130hrs 1-20 Infantry LRRP at BS655392 received small arms fire, enemy was Recon area by fire, negative casualties, believe they have 75 VC near location. Request to be extracted at 170800hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 16, 1969
Alpha Company continued the Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown with local ambushes today 1 Platoon conducts Recon in Force vicinity BS9120. At 0150hrs Alpha Company reports Village of Sa Huynh received 12 rounds of 82mm Mortar rounds and light small arms fire with negative Casualties or damage, Village did returned fire with unknown results. At 1000hrs Alpha Company 52 element is located at BS911249.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company has the Security Mission for LZ Liz and today 1 Platoon conducts a Recon in Force vicinity BS7444.
Charlie Company
March 16, 1969
Charlie Company has the Security Mission for LZ Thunder with local ambushes and today 1 Platoon conducts a Recon in Force vicinity BS8534. At 1030hrs Charlie Company on LZ Thunder dust Off 1 US for possible malaria completed at 1053hrs. At 1610hrs vicinity BS858345 Charlie Company detained 1 VCS.
Delta Company
March 16, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon. 1-20 Infantry reports SRRP locations Dragnet at BS640534 and Dana at BS857286. At 1015hrs Delta Company at BS806426 found 4 82mm Mortar rounds and 1 AK-47 (SN#12061998) and destroyed Mortar rounds in place. At 1910hrs SRRP Dana 1-20 Infantry spotted 30-40 VCS in black PJ moving southwest couldn’t tell if they had weapons or not.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Bronco, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for LZ Bronco Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry Security Patrols, Day or Night ambushes and a Reaction Force on LZ Liz.
