Battalion Forward: At 0805hrs 1-20 Infantry Headquarters Company on LZ Liz received 5 rounds of 82mm mortar fire with negative Casualties or damage vicinity BS734414. At 1220hrs Battalion Headquarters CS drop BS730410 request 1-20 Infantry mark the spot for drop, winds east to west. At 1725hrs LZ Liz received 15 rounds 82mm mortar with negative casualties or damage.
Battalion Rear: Battalion continued their Mission if general support for the Battalion and continued to provide defense position for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
June 16, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0805hrs Alpha Company is patrolling using a Recon in Force to BS745413 and moved to BS749420 and closed back on LZ Liz at 1200hrs.
Bravo Company
June 16, 1969
At 0615hrs Bravo Company at BS725449 had 2 NVA wandered into their Night Defense Position and were engaged with claymore, M-79 rounds and frag grenade with results 2 NVA KIA also 2 AK-47 rifles, documents and misc. equipment CIA. Then Bravo Company set up their Day Logger at BS734421 and using multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1845hrs Bravo Company moved into their Night Defense Position at BS729428 with the 32 at BS723420.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Late afternoon LZ Liz has Mortar Attack with negative Casualties or damage. Also conduct a Recon in Force in Area East of LZ Liz.
Delta Company
June 16, 1969
At 0810hrs Delta Company is at BS789433 using multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1845hrs Delta Company is moving in their Night Defense Position at BS789433, with 74 at BS787433 and 34 at BS793436.
Echo Company
June 16, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. LZ Liz received 5 rounds of 82mm mortar rounds with negative causalities or damage and at 0830hrs Recon reported all elements closed on LZ LIZ. At 1440hrs USAF fighter took hit and went down at BS722407, pilot ejected and was picked up. At 1845hrs Recon reported on LZ Liz with the 92 element located at BS745444.
