Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0700hrs S-4 Resupply Bird is on station Rattler 00 tail # 640 is on station. At 1345hrs Rattler 00 is breaking station at this time. At 1515hrs 120 Infantry To: 198 Brigade Area of Operation requested for Alpha Company 160600hrs to 292400hrs September 1971 from AT8828 to AT9228 to AT8824 to start. At 1520hrs TO: 198 Brigade Area of Operation requests for Delta Company 160600hrs to 292400hrs September 1971 Upper Left AT8527 and Lower Right AT8824. At 1930hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Mechanical Ambushes out: Alpha 2 and Bravo 2 for a total of 4 out.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
September 15, 1971
At 1130hrs Alpha Company Command Post and 1st Platoon is at AT884265 and 2nd Platoon is at AT872267. At 1605hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon is moving to BS881258 and 1700hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon is at BS873263. At 1735hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon is in their Night Defense Position at AT880262 and Command Post and 1st Platoon is moving to AT887261 with 2 Mechanical Ambushes out tonight.
Bravo Company

At 0830hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon has moved out to AT924284 and 2nd Platoon with Command Post moving to AT930278. At 1545hrs Bravo Company at AT935287 LATE SPOT time of event 131630hrs September 1971, observed 7 VC with packs and weapons moving northeast at BS935287 and engaged with small arms fire and VC withdrew southwest along the trail. Bravo Company pursued and gun ships were requested and were on station within 7 minutes guns ship engaged trail at AT934485.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ West with so defense patrolling around the Fire Base.
Delta Company
September 15, 1971
Delta Company finished their Stand Down at Chu Lai and now on LZ Siberia. At 1730hrs Delta Company has moved off of LZ Siberia and while moving to their Night Defense Position the 1st Platoon found a booby trap. It was a 60mm mortar round with a pressure release device found in a hole that was 8’ X 8’ X 8" and covered with bamboo approximately 1 week old blown in place.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry.
