Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1730hrs S-4 Minuteman 121 is on station for re supply. At 2020hrs 4-4 ARVN at 1750hrs vicinity BS613513 while moving to Night Defense Position killed 5 NVA and CIA 3 AK-47 and 6 Chi Com grenades. Had 3 Vietnamese WIA, I was Commander of a Company, US confirmed. Legend: 1st Platoon 33, 2nd Platoon 46, 3rd Platoon 22, 4th Platoon 09, CO-42.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0015hrs LZ Bronco had a fragging incident. Headquarters and Headquarter Commander CPT Gleaves injured in head with minor to the rest of his body. Grenade detonated in orderly room area by Commander bed. Military Police, CID, and Colonel Brogan at the scene, are had been seal off and troops have been mustered.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company
March 15, 1971
Bravo Company continued to set up Patrol Bases and use multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1750hrs Bravo Company all patrols closed at this time. At 1855hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon in Night Defense Position vicinity BS669482, 2nd Platoon at BS670494 will be tomorrows Patrol Base, Command Post 1st and 4th Night Defense Position vicinity BS702496 will be tomorrow Patrol Base. At 1936hrs Bravo Company reports their Night Locations Command Post 1st and 4th Platoon BS702496, 2nd Platoon BS670494, 3rd Platoon BS669482.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company will continue to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation. At 1707hrs Charlie Company Command Post and 3rd Platoon Night Defense Position has changed to BS669555. At 1800hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon is moving to Night Defense Position vicinity BS669523.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued to use multiple patrolling with Patrol Bases in their Area of Operation. At 1004hrs Delta Company Command Post 1st and 4th Platoon is in Patrol Base vicinity BS636489. Delta Company 2nd Platoon is in Patrol Base vicinity BS641513 with 3rd Platoon in Patrol Base vicinity BS646496. At 1935hrs Delta Command Post 1st and 4th platoon BS636489, 2nd platoon BS644516 and 3rd platoon at BS647493.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0701hrs Recon is moving out for BS753413. At 0725hrs Recon is at checkpoint 1 vicinity BS753413 en route to BS729419. At 0835hrs Recon Platoon is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS729419. At 1000hrs Recon Platoon in location vicinity BS709431. At 1330hrs Recon Platoon vicinity BS728435 on patrol walked into a village and saw 1 female VC with an M-16 CIA with magazine containing 7 rounds, female was 22 years old and wearing purple and black. At 1610hrs Recon Platoon has closed on LZ Liz. At 1800rhs Recon Platoon vicinity BS733425 detained 1 female, 22 years old, wearing blue and black. She did not have an ID card. Then at grid BS728435, Recon Platoon detained 2 Vietnamese males both were 14 years old. They evaded from the area of contact. All three detainees were evac to MACV Duc Pho, boys all were dressed in white shirts and blue shorts.
