Headquarters and Headquarter Company
March 15, 1968
Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 1515hrs S-2 PF at BS837330 received 1 sniper round with results 1 PF WHA. At LZ Bronco Change of Command Ceremony, Colonel Henderson assumed command of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade as General Lipscomb departed.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
March 15, 1968
Alpha Company has the Security Mission for LZ Thunder and Bridge security for 99-100 and 104-105 with the 1st Platoon on LZ Thunder. At 2215hrs Alpha Company security on Bridge 104 reports 3 rounds of mortar landing 150 meters south of their position.
Bravo Company
March 15, 1968
Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1400hrs Bravo Company has moved off of LZ Thunder use a Recon in Force movement and at 1910hrs reports their location at BS811307.
Charlie Company
March 15, 1968
At 0008hrs Charlie Company vicinity BS642815 received sniper fire, call artillery on area sniper fire stopped results unknown. Colonel Henderson assumed command of the 11th Infantry Brigade. At 1950hrs Charlie Company is located at LZ Dottie as it prepares for their Combat Assault in the morning.
Delta Company
March 15, 1968
At 2358hrs Delta Company at BS873359 1st Platoon observed sampan with 3 men loading something, are checking it out. At 0230hrs Sampan left beach headed south, 3 men in sampan 1 with white trousers. At 1600hrs Delta Company at BS788375 found tunnel 25 to 50 meters long, 4 entrances, 6 or 7 branches in and out of hedgerow will destroy it. At 1750hrs Delta Company at BS798378 encountered Vietnamese who had tripped a booby trap of some kind and Dust Off has been requested. At 1910hrs Delta Company is in their Night Logger Position at BS786371 with ambushes at BS786376 and BS781371.
Echo Company
March 15, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. Recon Platoon I believe is at LZ Bronco on their Stand Down.
