Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continue to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
February 15, 1968
Alpha Company has the Security Mission for LZ Thunder and Bridge security for 99-100 and 104-105 with the 1st Platoon on LZ Thunder. At 2215hrs Alpha Company security on Bridge 104 reports 3 rounds of mortar landing 150 meters south of their position.
Bravo Company
February 15, 1968
At 0545hrs Bravo Company moving and carrying out their Search and Destroy operation northeast of LZ Thunder. At 0932hrs Bravo Company while in the area of BS889325, picked up 13 VCS. Four of the suspects said to be confirmed VC and one of which said to be VC cadre. The VCS were trying to hide and are being questioned at this time. At 1030hrs Bravo Company at BS886323 spotted 2 VC evading, results 1 VC KIA and 1 VC and 1 VC WIA (CIA). After sweeping the area 1 .45cal pistol was CIA, SN #2123047. Dust Off was completed for the 1 VC WIA at 1045hrs. At 1115hrs Bravo Company at BS886233 found a US grenade, booby trap, destroyed in place. At 2110hrs Bravo Company and Recon Platoon is at BS880328, 1st Platoon is at BS884324, 2nd Platoon is at BS888328 and the 3rd Platoon at BS878336.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Uptight. At 1810hrs Charlie Company engaged 1 VC, results 1 VC KIA and 1 M-1 rifle CIA.
Delta Company
February 15, 1968
At 2110hrs Delta Company passed through gate headed for LZ Carentan checked with Engineers to make sure they were aware of Delta Company going through the area. At 2220hrs Delta Company now at LZ Carentan and at 0530hrs Delta Company on sweep to the southeast from LZ Carentan area. At 0930hrs Delta Company is at BS870361. At 1620hrs Delta Company will have an element at BS866352, Recon Position at BS866352 and Recon has a ambush at BS858356 requested that people on LZ Carentan Bridge be notified of friendly in the area. At 1400hrs Delta Company Tunnel at BS861354 found inside 9 M-16 magazines loaded, 1 M-14 magazines loaded, 1 ammo pack, some GI clothing, pistol belt, 2 red star, poncho and helmet liner. At 2010hrs Delta Company Night Defense Position at BS867362 with Delta Company 2nd Platoon at BS860360 and Delta 1st Platoon at BS865354.
Echo Company
February 15, 1968
Echo Company and 4.2 platoon where located on LZ Thunder to provide direct support to the Battalion. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. Working with Delta Company and Bravo Company as a Blocking force as the Companies Search and Destroy Operations.
