Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0616hrs 1-20 Infantry to Companies "Fire will aimed shots".
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0030hrs LZ Bronco is now on yellow alert status, Duc Pho receiving incoming rounds. At 0305hrs LZ Bronco has returned to White alert status.
Alpha Company
August 15, 1969
At 0610hrs Alpha Company all elements closed on Alpha Night Defense Position. At 0622hrs Command Message passed on to companies "FIRE WILL AIMED SHOTS". At 0950hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer at BS792412 while moving to LZ Max 3rd Platoon received approximately 100 rounds of automatic weapons fire, returned fire and saw 4 secondary explosions we have negative casualties or damage (Info only). At 0930hrs Alpha Company reports the 91 element location grid at BS700671 and the 21 element location is at grid BS711616. At 1620hrs Alpha the 91 element is location at BS703623. Alpha Company Dust Off Urgent one person Vietnamese, she was shot in the neck and chest, the PF tried to rob her and she wouldn’t give them the money so they shot her. Dust Off cancelled she died before Dust Off got there. At 2010hrs Alpha Company OP are in position at this time same locations as yesterday.
Bravo Company
August 15, 1969
At 0825hrs Bravo Company 91 element moving off LZ LIZ to grid BS7642 for training and at 0905hrs closed back on Liz at 0910hrs and continued their Security Mission.
Charlie Company
August 15, 1969
At 0930hrs Charlie Company has a Combat Assault into grid BS760408 1st PZ 0855 and Last LZ at 0925hrs all LZ cold. Charlie Company at BS771411 and we have reached the bridge our 51, and 91 element have moved out a little to pull security while we take a short break. At 1300hrs Charlie Company detained 1 female and evac to LZ Bronco. At 1945hrs Charlie Company we have reached our Night Defense Position at BS781407 and we have 2 snakes out.
Delta Company
August 15, 1969
At 0650hrs Delta Company moved out of Night Defense Position to their Day Logger. SGT Popiel will be sent in to be check for malaria with the re-supply helicopter. Delta Company continued Search and Destroy in their Area of Operation. At 0950hrs Deltas Company at BS733439 detained 1 man evac to LZ Bronco. At 1930hrs Delta Company moved into Night Defense Position with 82, 21, 51 and 52 have put snakes out and they are getting into position.
Echo Company
August 15, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. 4.2 Platoon reports Defense Targets 1, Observe Mission 4 with total 22 HE and 2 WP. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon located at Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
