Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0045hrs OP Wink reports taking 2 M-79 rounds from their northwest at a distance of about 400 meters. Rounds landed outside their perimeter and causes negative casualties or damage. Engaged the enemy location, with small are fire and Quad 50 vicinity BS682565. At 0640hrs OP wink and Recon is on wire patrol. At 0730hrs 1-20 Infantry AMC is on station at this time Dolphin 1. At 0820hrs Bravo Company PZ is completed at 0755hrs, LZ is completed at 0807hrs and AMC broke station at 0815hrs. At 0825hrs Primo 3 is on station at this time. At 0845hrs MACV Mo Duc RF 103 at BS770447 requested a Tactical Priority Dust Off for 3 RF with multiple frag wounds, 1 to chest, 2 to legs, Dust Off 54 completed at 0855hrs. At 0920hrs Warlord 21 is on station for APD 159. At 0935hrs Primo 3 is breaking station at this time. At 1020hrs MACV MO Duc RF 103 at BS770446, requests Urgent Dust Off for 3 RF with gunshot wounds in contact, Dust Off completed at 1030hrs. At 1330hrs MACV MO Duc at BS770446, RF 103 event 0830hrs made contact with approximately 1 Platoon of VC resulting in 6 RF WIA, enemy casualties unknown, found 12 bunkers, 10 tunnels, will destroy numerous blood trails. At 1410hrs AMC bird on station for Combat Assault. At 1451hrs Combat Assault of Bravo Company is completed 1st Platoon PZ 1438hrs and LZ 1450hrs completed at 1450hrs. At 1550hrs 1-4 ARVN moved into sensor Box Upper Left BS7249 Lower Right BS7546 to change batteries, will have negative US on ground will have to go through LZ Dragon or MACV. At 0745hrs 1-20 Infantry Air Strike request on grid BS636526, reason VC/NVA Base Camp, bunkers, hootches Time 17, 1500hrs April 71, sent 1745hrs to Brigade. At 1816hrs TMF Fire Mission at 1751hrs String 295, Target B, unknown number of stationary person with negative metal confirmation and engaged at 1807hrs with 10 HE rounds 4.2 Mortar. Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company used multiple patrols in their Area of Operation today. At 0900hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon patrol has a additional checkpoint, 3 at BS611503. At 1010hrs Alpha 1st Platoon is moving out to BS608504. At 1040hrs 1st Platoon Patrol is at checkpoint 2 vicinity BS608500. At 1115hrs Alpha Company at BS611503, while on patrol 1st Platoon heard 3 warning shots as they approached the Ville, after entering the village 1st platoon found a large number of sandal tracks, 25 AK 47 rounds in a bunker, they are continuing their search. At 1342hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon 1st Squad patrol checkpoint and 1st Platoon 2nd squad is the same at BS608504. At 1535hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon Patrol closed on BS610509. At 1813hrs Alpha Company 2nd Platoon closed on BS610509. At 2010hrs hrs Alpha Company reports their locations Command Post and 4th Platoon at BS630514, 1st and 2nd Platoon at BS610507.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to have the Security Mission of LZ Liz. At 0845hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon found 2 booby traps both 81 rounds with trip wire and blew them in place. At 1451hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon and TMF PZ 1438hrs LZ 1450hrs Combat Assault completed and in the LZ area BS649574 Bravo Company found another booby trap with trip wire and blew it in place.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company is using multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation today. At 0810hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon is moving to check area of radar sighting at BS737400. At 0856hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon Patrol is moving out to BS725435. At 10007hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed on BS744415 and 2nd Platoon patrol closed on vicinity BS722442. At 1815hrs Charlie Company 1st, 4th Platoons and Command Post is moving out to BS718416. At 1900hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon is moving to their Night Defense Position vicinity BS734436.
Delta Company

At 0945hrs Delta Company reports Command Post, 4th, and 2nd Platoon is at checkpoint 3, vicinity BS667553. At 1005hrs Delta Company Command Post 2nd and 4 platoon in Patrol Base BS642524, 2nd platoon put their 1st squad OP at BS640525. 1st and 3rd platoon set out for BS637527 and started patrols. At 1150hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol cancelled and the 2nd Platoon 1st squad OP in location at BS640525. At 1305hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon patrol closed on BS637527. At 2011hrs Delta Company Command Post 2nd and 4th platoon at BS651525, 1st platoon ambush at BS648533, 2nd platoon ambush at BS648523, 3rd platoon at BS639534 and 3rd platoon ambush at BS639526.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0640hrs OP Wink, Recon is on wire patrol. At 0710hrs Recon is closing on OP Wink. Recon Platoon continued to remain on OP Wink to provide security for the TMF location.
