Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0130hrs 1-20 infantry reports LZ Thunder received 4 rounds of 82mm mortar in the Artillery Area, spotted flashes at BS856317, engaged 81mm mortar. The Engineer receives small arms fire with results 1 US WIA (M) 6-11 artillery. At 0600hrs LRRP Blond Tiger inserted at BS721286 PZ at 0610hrs and LZ at 0600hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company
April 15, 1969
At 0130hrs Alpha Company OP surrounded by VC blew claymores. At 0920hrs Alpha Company at BS772510 found booby trap 105 or 155 dud artillery round it was tripped but didn’t explode will blow in place trigger by trip wire. At 0950hrs Alpha Company found 300 pounds of rice and destroyed it and that evening move into their Night Defense Position at BS772510. At 2145hrs Alpha Company at BS772510 LP had unknown number of VC near perimeter blew claymore and closed on Night Defense Position.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1115hrs Bravo Company at BS884310 evac 3 detainee to LZ Bronco with negative weapon or ID. At 1205hrs Bravo Company 51 is at BS884310 and 21 at BS893314. LZ Thunder Name changed to Debbie ASAP.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Charlie Brown. LZ Thunder Name changed to Debbie ASAP.
Delta Company
April 15, 1969
Delta Company continued their Security mission for LZ Liz. At 1535hrs Delta Company on Bridge 124 at BS770462, unit stopped 1 Vietnamese riding motorcycle with no IS card and had 45 caliber pistol (US) and Military Police evac to Duc Pho also Delta Company keep the pistol. At 1635hrs Vietnamese was released, he was a Rural Development Cadre. At 2120hrs Delta Company at BS749455 3 or 4 VC on bicycles, engaged with small arms fire and 81mm mortar with results 1 bicycle and 2 baskets negative bodies. At 2130hrs Delta Company at BS770463 observed movement engaged with M-60, 1 US WHA minor ruptured cartridge M-60. At 2255hrs Delta Company 51 and 52 is located at BS755465.
Echo Company
April 15, 1969
Echo Company headquarters is located at LZ Liz and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Charlie Brown, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for LZ Charlie Brown. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0815hrs Recon Platoon requested Dust Off Vietnamese female burned on right leg she is from BS763423 and complete at 0940hrs. At 1600hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at LZ Liz.
