Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0433hrs MACV Duc Pho checked Air Strike at 0830hrs grid BS755380, said the Air Strike was not coordinated with MACV, they have PF at BS772386 will try and get these people out. The PF were removed at 0455hrs. At 1100hrs E Troop 1 Cav departed for Chu Lai. At 1720hrs 1-20 Infantry request one set of scout dogs for Bravo Company they well be pick up at 0800hrs 15 November at the Bud Pad. Charlie Company requests one set of scout dogs for two days to be pick up at the Bud Pad at 1300hrs.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0635hrs 4-21 Infantry request that no convoys go on Highway 1 until after 1200hrs due to troop movement and operations in the area. There is no security on the road. At 0800hrs 1-20 Infantry reports at BS781426 civilian found a mine on Highway 1, Mine consisted of 3 30 pound bombs and 1 155mm round and Engineer will destroy (VIP Payment was made). At 1140hrs 63 Transportation reports at BS729556 received small arms fire with negative casualties or damage, Helix checked out the area.
Alpha Company
November 14, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Land Clearing Operation. At 0900hrs Alpha Company at BS833437 two Mike boats arrived and pick up 3 Dozers that were DX and headed south will come back later to pick up three more which were DX. At 1325hrs Alpha Company is located at BS830429 engaged one NVA with small arms fire with the results 1 NVA with small arms fire results 1 NVA CIA, 1 Chi Com Hand Grenade CIA will be evac to Bronco. The individual was dressed in Olive Drab Uniform. Alpha Company reports the 01 element at OP at 2050hrs spotted at BS818472 3 personnel moving along beach, believed to be VC/NVA waiting for a boat. The will continue to be observed, the number has grown to 9 personnel and are now moving north along beach. Artillery called and they split to the north results unknown.
Bravo Company

At 0135hrs Bravo Company one Platoon at BS858319 received small arms fire from north negative casualties or damage, enemy grid BS786436. Bravo Company is at BS783433 working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company
November 14, 1969
Charlie continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. Charlie Company conducts a Combat Assault PZ 1120hrs and LZ at 1136hrs completed and cold LZ.
Delta Company
November 14, 1969
At 0447hrs Delta 91 element at BS793460 rounds are impacting 500 meters from their location. Delta Company was not at BS793466 where they said they were. At 1144hrs Delta Company is using a Recon in Force as they move and at 1230hrs at BS793460 requests Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese female with gunshot wound in the leg, she received the wound when Delta Company exchanged fire with VC. Also found 1 Vietnamese female KIA Dust Off completed at 1245hrs. At 1815hrs Delta Company at BS793460 requests Urgent Dust Off for 1 Vietnamese child with frag wounds also 4 Vietnamese with minor wounds, unknown as to how wounds were received, and Dust Off completed at 1823hrs. At 1838hrs at BS793460 Delta Company received small arms fire from east returned fire with Artillery at BS789462 negative casualties or damage, unknown results.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0750hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS717463. At 1025hrs Recon Platoon at BS718470 extracted at 1115hrs to LZ Liz. Recon Platoon takes up their Security Mission for LZ Liz and 1-20 Infantry.
