Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0050hrs TMF G14, Sting activation GS7 target B, was stationary target unknown size, negative metal confirmation, time received 0050hrs, engaged at 0100hrs expended 10 VT HE Artillery 155mm. At 0245hrs Charlie Company LT Humphres has inspected bunkers 3, 4 and 5 is satisfactory. At 0530hrs MACV Mo Duc vicinity BS677529, PF Platoons 145, 157, and 165 observed and engaged 1 female VC resulting in 1 female VC KIA, negative pack or weapons US confirmed at 2020hrs time of event 13120hrs. At 0730hrs 1-20 Infantry Dolphin 6 is on station at this time. At 0805hrs LZ Liz Access Road is now clear. At 1030hrs Dolphin 6 reported taking fire (30 caliber) from hootch vicinity BS6148 to BS6049. Took some hits and diverted to Quang Ngai to check bird. Dolphin 6 had to set down on highway 1 south of Quang Ngai. At 1134hrs 3-4 ARVN Gia Vuc, BS277423 requested we relay Dust Off for 4 Vietnamese with legs wounds, 1 with chest wounds, and 1 possible fractured shoulder. Request through Victor to Vietnamese Air Force negative initial (WNDS) due to sniper fire, completed at 161030hrs final results 1 ARVN KIA with 3 ARVN WIA. At 1600hrs MACV MO Duc advised of Alpha Company preplanned Night Defense Position location in close proximity to OP Woodstock. Asked to pass on to Nghia Hanh, initials received transmitted (WW). At 2115hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out: Alpha 2, bravo 5 for a total of 7 out. Legend: 1st Platoon 17, 2nd Platoon 44, 3rd Platoon 56, 4th Platoon 23 and CO-64.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0930hrs 11 Brigade 4-21 Infantry 1st Lift departed at 0920hrs and returned at 0930hrs Mission not complete due to faulty landing gear. Convoy departed at 0921hrs to Chu Lai with 34 Pax and 4-21 Infantry has 39 vehicles with a Military Police escort.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0630hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon is sweeping the contact area from last night at BS653565. At 0655hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon found all the ammo intact and moving to their Patrol Base vicinity BS653565. At 1946hrs Alpha Company Command Post 3rd and 4th Platoons in Night Defense Position at BS673556. At 2050hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon in Night Defense Position vicinity BS665564 received 5 rounds 81mm from Woodstock, got a check fire from little people confirmed grid location with Nghia Hanh with negative casualties and Alpha Company has 2 Mechanical Ambush out.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 0750hrs Bravo Company Command Post with 3rd Platoon in Patrol Base at BS704485, 1st Platoon patrol is moving out to BS689496. At 097hrs Bravo Company requests Urgent Dust Off for 2 US, vicinity BS704475 who were struck by lighting in Patrol Base, Dust Off # 52 completed at 0930hrs. CPT Guill also reports taking a little frag in the shoulder from a claymore that detonated when the lighting struck. At 2002hrs Bravo Company all elements in location Command Post and 3rd Platoon is at BS704482, 1st and 4th Platoons at BS691493 and 2nd Platoon at BS709447.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0245hrs Charlie Company LT Humphres inspected bunkers 3, 4 and 5 is satisfactory. At 2130hrs CPT Berden inspected LZ Liz bunker line 2, 3, 4, 5, 14, 15, 16 and17 found all satisfactory.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Echo Company
June 14, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0600hrs Recon patrol is moving out to BS768362 and closed on BS750380 at 0650hrs. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon is presently leaving Day logger for LZ Liz. At 0925hrs Recon closed on LZ Liz at this time.
