Headquarters and Headquarter Company
June 14, 1968
Forward Area: At 0709hrs 1-20 Infantry Battalion Forward and Delta and Echo Company is moving to LZ Baldy and then by fixed wing to LZ Bronco truck to LZ Thunder as the Battalion returns to Control of the 11th Light Infantry Brigade Control in the Duc Pho Area of Operation. The 11th Lift is completed at 1253hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1134hrs Bravo Company 19th Engineers at BS747510, 5 ton cargo truck with water trailer hit a mine was believed to be pressure detonated. Occurred of the eastside of the road, 15-20 pound charge left a crater 4’ deep X 6’ wide, 2 EM evac (1 from Alpha Battery 6-11 Artillery Road is open taking measures to repair. APC hit a mine at same location on 5 June, truck belongs to Bravo Battery 3-16 Artillery, it was badly damaged and water trailer only slightly damaged. At 1920HRS Section F reports a ¼ vehicle coming down Montazema got out of control, with results in slight accident, damage broken wind shield and driver shaken up.
Alpha Company
June 14, 1968
At 1045hrs Alpha Company at BS935222 received 2 rounds semi auto fire from vicinity SA Huynh, request permission to return fire. At 1300hrs Alpha Company is located at Charlie Brown. At 1505hrs Alpha Company at BS925217 is receiving small arms fire, some civilians are in the area, PF are firing back but US no returning fire. At 1915hrs Alpha Company reports ambushes sites is BS935228, BS838228 and BS835222.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company working with the 3-21 Infantry will move and sweep area from BT013420 to BT009341 and prepare to move to LZ Baldy and home to DUC PHO.
Charlie Company
June 14, 1968
Charlie Company is OPCON to the 2-1 Infantry as most of the Battalion is airlifted to Duc Pho and return to 11th Infantry Brigade Control. Charlie Company continued their Search and Destroy operation to BT013342 to BT009341.
Delta Company
June 14, 1968
Delta Company along with Headquarters Company and Echo Company are airlifted at 0709hrs from LZ Ross and taken to LZ Baldy and by fixed wing to Duc Pho Area of Operation. By 1253hrs 1-20 Infantry 11th Lift for the Day was completed and Delta Company is moving off by convoy to LZ Thunder where they will take over the Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1455hrs Delta Company is moving off of LZ Thunder, they will move east. At 1925hrs Delta Company established their Night Defense Position at BS891324 with ambushes at BS880333, BS889312, and BS893320. PFC James Concannon was sick and at 0930hrs evac to and attached to the 2nd Surgical Hospital.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Ross and at 0709hrs Battalion Forward and Echo Company are airlifted at 0709hrs from LZ Ross and taken to LZ Baldy and by fixed wing to Duc Pho Area of Operation. By 1253hrs 1-20 Infantry 11th Lift for the Day was completed Battalion Forward, is located at LZ Thunder and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and the Base Defense on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the Battalion. 1-20 Infantry Recon Platoon reports have the Security Mission for LZ Thunder.
