Stated was captured by the National Police on 10 February 1969 at HA CANG R in vicinity BS088266. Documents were found on source’s person, it was discovered that the general communist’s offensive against the cities and major towns will begin DATE/ TIME 150600hrs Feb.69. When offensive has begun the political and military proselytizing teams will appeal to the populace and soldiers to support and participate in the attacks. This information cannot be evaluated; this information is disseminated as an attack indicator in NVA/VC offensive operations before and during TET At 1000hrs 1-20 Infantry Charlie Company reports SRRP Gale closed on Thunder and Charlie Company 51 is at BS768344. Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry BS778372 flying southeast of Liz, Observed 10 kids running down stream, 1 did look older then the rest, engaged with negative assessment, he ran and hid under trees, Charlie 21 checked area and found a pair of black PJ. Charlie Company 3-1 Infantry 24 BS782373, 22 BS810406, 26 BS822399, 21 BS828369, 41 BS767405 and the 51 element closed on LZ Bronco with Cat at BS738885. At 2000hrs MACV Mo Duc at BS750513 ARVN OP hit with small arms fire from estimate VC Company, results 1 ARVN WHA, Evac, 1-20 Infantry fired 60mm and 4.2 from LZ Dragon. At 2120hrs Major Erickson to Major Treadwell be prepared to Combat Assault one company and possible two companies into Mo Duc Area of Operation southeast of snoopy and of southwest of Snoopy, not earlier then 1100hrs.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0100hrs 11th Brigade, all units will be on 100% alert, ready for any mission as of DATE/TIME 150530hs February 1969, notified: all units. At 0100hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports that PRU at BS680680 engaged 1 VC and was evading results 1 VC KIA.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon and at 1000hrs Alpha Company 23 is at BS704513. At 1210hrs Alpha Company locations on LZ Dragon with Aster (SRRP) at BS640534 and the 23 element is at BS708532.

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and at 1000hrs Bravo Company 26 is at BS788420. At 1040hrs Bravo Company at BS794418 received sniper fire with negative casualties return fire with negative assessment. At 1400hrs Bravo at BS744454 detained 2 VC suspects evading 1 male and 2 female on highway 515 and evaded to LZ Liz. With Bravo Company 21 on Bridge 124 have LP/OP at BS753436 and LP/OP at BS754420.

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder. At 1000hrs Charlie Company SRRP Gale closed on LZ Thunder. At 1400hrs Charlie Company 21 is at BS885315and 45 at BS889319 Recon in Force patrols. At 1809hrs Charlie Company has completed their Dust Off for one man with possible malaria with high temp George W RA. At 1210hrs Delta Company locations 55 Bridge 95, 54 on Bridge 94, 41 at BS928264 and SRRP is at BS871295. At 1845hrs Delta Company at BS926221 received 2 shots from a carbine coming from seaward. At 1930hrs Delta Company at Charlie Brown received 10 rounds small arms fire from hill shot were over head of bunkers Delta Company did not return fire.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 2030hrs MACV Mo Duc has RF OP at BS547512 and it was hit with small arms fire by estimate VC Company have 1 RF KIA and 1 RF WIA also 2 VC KIA the 1-20 Infantry 4.2 Mortars fired 60 rounds in support of the RF OP. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
