Forward Area: (1-20 Infantry Headquarters) is located at LZ Liz and will continue to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0650hrs South OP requests routine Dust Off for 1 US who slipped and fell off the watch tower, possible broken hip SP4 David Sowell, completed at 0745hrs.At 0820hrs Warlord 23 with Calvary team working box 50. At 0700hrs Primo 5 on station for Command and Control Helicopter and at 0825hrs Primo 5 is breaking station at this time. At 0845hrs Warlord 23 departing box 50 with negative findings. At 1045hrs S-4 Dolphin 284 is on station for resupply. Legend 1st Platoon 83-88, 2nd Platoon 33-38, 3rd Platoon 03-08, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 09.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and will continue their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. PVT Robert Nelson was attached to the 91st Evac Hospital.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 0650hrs South OP requests Routine Dust Off, 1 US who slipped and fell off watch tower, possible broken hip (SP4 David Sowell) completed at 1745hrs. Alpha Company continued to carry out their Security Mission for LZ Liz.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1905hrs Bravo Company has their Night Defense Position ambushes out tonight.
Charlie Company
December 14, 1970
At 0650hrs South OP requests Routine Dust Off, 1 US who slipped and fell off watch tower, possible broken hip (SP4 David Sowell from Charlie Company) completed at 1745hrs. At 1245hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon vicinity BS767374, found 4 155mm Artillery HE rounds and 3 105mm Artillery HE rounds, stacked up under some water and were not booby trap. The rounds were rusty, unable to make out Lot numbers. At 1248hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon in vicinity grid BS752394, found a tunnel 15’ long 3’ deep and 2’ wide with 2 exits, will destroy. At 1700hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon vicinity BS762534 bought 2 manufactured type Chi Coms and 2 82mm Mortar rounds from a (10 year old) Vietnamese male. At 1708hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS766528 bought an artillery booster TNT charge from a 15 year old Vietnamese male, paid 2 can C-rations or it, booster was destroyed in place. At 1945hrs Charlie Company Command Post, 3rd and 4th Platoons is at BS758395, 3rd Platoon ambush cancelled, 2nd Platoon is at BS767374 with ambushes at BS770369, BS766374. Also Charlie 1st Platoon is at BS738417 with ambush at BS738421 and Command Post Mechanical Ambushes at BS758395 and BS763360.
Delta Company

Delta Company will continue to multiple patrols in their Area of Operations. At 1000hrs Delta Company 1st Platoon patrol is moving out for BS761574, 3rd Platoon patrol closed on BS766528. At 1015hrs Delta Company 2nd Platoon patrol is moving out for BS769561. At 1915hrs Bravo Company Command Post, 1st and 4th platoon BS750575, 3rd Platoon BS764557, 2nd Platoon BS768560 and ambush BS766563.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 1315hrs Recon Platoon is moving out for LZ Liz. At 1455hrs Recon Platoon closed on LZ Liz. At 1515hrs Recon Platoon in vicinity BS735444 detained 1 male 46 years old, wearing all black, hiding in a hedgerow counting the elements as it walked by and will bring to LZ Liz and then sent to Duc Pho.
