Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0550hrs 1-20 Infantry Command Message (Practice Light Discipline) is given to Companies and Rear Area. At 1028hrs S-3 to Delta Company all M-16 with out a "C" or "C2" code will have to have line numbers and turned in today. At 1530hrs Helix at BS548418, while putting in Air Strike had one large secondary explosion also at BS5441 and BS5341 spotted some reconstructed huts. At 1808hrs Ajax for the Battalion Alpha 84, Bravo 86, Charlie 87, Delta 86, Recon 49 and 4.2 Platoon 21. At 1830hrs Warlord at BS820455 blew up 10 or more tow 120 rockets, had negative ground fire but sure dinks are in the area. At 1830hrs Warlord at BS820455 10 or more either 140 rockets or 175mm projectiles destroyed as many as possible.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 0605hrs Target Detection String D-2 at 2240hrs at BS79313157 spotted 8-10 persons moving south to north, 30 Artillery 105 HE rounds. String D-10 at 0512hrs at BS72354535 spotted 4-5 persons moving east to west engaged with 12 Artillery 105 HE rounds fired. At 1645hrs Charlie Company 19 Engineer at BS832345 report received 3 M-79 rounds while returning to highway from job site with negative casualties or damage (Info Only).
Alpha Company

At 0621hrs Alpha Company my snakes and OP have closed. At 0621hrs my element is starting to move out on our Operation. At 0800hrs Alpha Company at BS834416 detained 2 VCS they where pick up because they were close to location. They belong to the Women’s Association, will be evac to Bronco. At 1140hrs Alpha Company reports Alpha Company reports 73 and 43 element has closed on Day Logger. At 1200hrs Alpha Company we plan to leave this present location at about 1430hrs and move across the river to our home base. At 1430hrs Alpha Company will be sending in 8 VCS females, for questioning as a results of sweep through Ville at BS846405 and the S-2 will the evac 8 VCS to Military Intelligence. At 1435hrs Alpha Company is moving to new Day Logger and at 1510hrs present position and resupply point at BS835394. At 2000hrs Alpha Company in their Night Defense Position at BS82836 with 73 at BS835387 and 43 at BS825396.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz and the Access Road. At 0546hrs our snake element has closed on LZ Liz. At 1940hrs Bravo Company the 44 element snake is leaving LZ Liz at this time and closed at 2124hrs.
Charlie Company
September 13, 1969
At 0637hrs Charlie Company is moving out toward our Day Logger. At 0750hrs Charlie Company is located at BS719436 our Day Logger. At 0825hrs the 45 element has moved out of Day Logger and at 0845hrs the 23 element is Recon in Force to BS714445 also at 0850hrs 43 is located at BS709427. At 1025hrs Charlie Company 43 is at BS707432 took 1 VC under fire with negative results and 23 element is located at BS723446. At 1155hrs Charlie Company 23, 43 and 5 have closed on Day Logger. At 1355hrs Charlie Company plans Night Defense Position Site at BS717443, snake 23 is at BS724447, snake 24 at BS714436 and tomorrow Day Logger will be at BS721440. At 2000hrs Charlie Company is moving into their Night Defense Position with 23 at BS724447, and 24 at BS714436.
Delta Company

At 0634hrs Delta Company the 24 element have checked out area around snake location with negative results, now proceeding to South Bridge. At 0735hrs Delta Company Platoon 43 reports RF northern bridge site are moving out. At 1145hrs Delta 24 we had a Dust Off for the ARVN Company just completed and we called Duc Pho and they took him to Quang Ngai. At 0750hrs Delta Company has moved to LZ Snoopy and has takes over the Security Mission for LZ Snoopy.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0555hrs 4.2 Platoon reports Observed Missions 1 and Defense Targets 4 for a total expended 68 HE rounds. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0610hrs Recon Platoon reports we are now moving out for morning operation. At 0655hrs Recon my element has a sweep the area and had negative fining. At 1000hrs Alpha Company reports their location at BS783446. At 0750hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at BS783446. At 1630hrs Recon Platoon has moved to BS734446. At 1910hrs Recon Platoon reports moving out to snake location will stop 200 meters short until dark, then move into position. At 2000hrs Recon Platoon reports their night locations at BS776446, 24 at BS796406, 47 at BS790416 and 43 was located at Bridge 402U.
