Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Thunder and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0850hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports Charlie Company 19 Engineer at BS920180 mine sweep team found, 1 dead Vietnamese apparently he drove bicycle over a bamboo type mine, approximately 25 pound charge, was located in the center of the road. At 1035hrs 1-20 Infantry reports Charlie Company 19 Engineer at BS930172 received small arms fire and 1 M-79 round, from east side of road and approximately 25 rounds of automatic weapons fire from the west side of road, returned fire and continued on. At 1740hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer at 1630hrs at BS861316 received small arms fire also Results 1 US WHA and 4 Vietnamese WHA when1 Vietnamese Lambretta and the Dust Off completed at 1645hrs Reverence US WHA was from Echo Company 1-20 Infantry. At 2315hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC reports 4 EM missing from LZ Thunder compound since1530hrs. Believe they have gone to the village, EM Jose Garza, Ronald George, Gary Gillis and Dennis McCoy.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz with Alpha 87, 67, Command Post at LZ Liz and 62 is at BS7103688. At 1010hrs Alpha Company at BS759411 engaged 2 VCS evading detainee 1 has an ID but looks phony, the 2nd one evaded into some huts are checking area at Present. At 1820hrs Alpha 67 is at LZ Liz with 89 at BS742438, 90 at BS753412, 91 at BS758407, 60 at BS710374, 62 at BS706371 and 63 is at BS712377.
Bravo Company

At 0858hrs Bravo Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Dragon with 67 at BS704377, 87 at BS763569 and 67 is at BS759549. At 1005hrs Bravo Company at BS762569 engaged 2 VC evading results 1 VC KIA. The KIA was dressed in black PJ had a US pistol belt with 2 M-26 hand grenades age approximately 30 has no ID or papers are searching area for 2nd one at present. At 1820hrs Bravo Company reports 87, 60 at LZ Dragon, 67 at BS767560 and 67 is at BS770563.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Thunder and at 0858hrs Charlie Company 60 at Charlie Brown with 63 at bridge 94 and 92 at Bridge 111. At 1820hrs Charlie Company reports 84 and 67 are at LZ Thunder with 60 at Charlie Brown, 63 at bridge 94 and 92 at bridge 111.
Delta Company

At 0858 Delta Company locations Delta 87, Command Post at BS832317, Delta 60 at BS835280 and Delta 67 at BS832314. At 1930hrs Delta Company reports their locations 89 at BS790849, 67 at BS849391 and with Delta (-) at LZ Bronco. 1-20 Infantry reported 4 EM missing, whom had gone to Village Delta Company at LZ Bronco.
Echo Company

Echo Company is located at LZ Thunder where Battalion Forward is and coordinates with the Battalion Rear Elements and Base Defense elements on LZ Thunder. The 4.2 Platoon is located on LZ Thunder where they continue to provide direct fire support for the (1-20 Infantry) Battalion. At 0858hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at LZ Bronco with only Recon 60 at BS843406. At 1157hrs Recon Platoon reports their location at LZ Bronco. At 1740hrs Delta Company 19 Engineer at 1630hrs at BS861316 received small arms fire also Results 1 US WHA and 4 Vietnamese WHA WHA1 Vietnamese Lambretta and Dust Off was completed at 1645hrs Reverence US WHA was from Echo Company 1-20 Infantry. SGT Charles T. Girty evac to 27th Surgical Hospital with gunshot wound at 1800hrs.
