Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0500hrs 1-20 Infantry TOC Radar Targets sighted 1 to 5 stationary personnel at BS843390 and engaged them with 14 HE of Artillery 105mm and at 2300hrs 6 to 8 stationary personnel were sighted at BS813479 and engaged with 4 HE of Artillery 155mm. At 2350hrs 1 to 5 stationary personnel were sighted at BS816415 and engaged with 7 HE of Artillery 155mm and at 0045hrs 1 to 5 stationary personnel were sighted at BS796377 with Charlie Company informed. At 0543hrs Radar sighted 8 to 9 personnel moving west at BS741443 with negative clearance. At 0910hrs Flame Tracks are now in their Day Logger at BS837432. At 1122hrs Brigade the mine dog will be picked up in Chu Lai by Brigade on 14 May 1970, the dog will return to Chu Lai on 16 May 1970. Brigade will provide the transportation to Chu Lai if the 1-20 Infantry returns the dog early enough. At 1145hrs Flame Tracks, 1 unit will be moving 300 meters west of the Day Logger. At 1200hrs Brigade the Warlords spotted at BS681468 and BS790441 some new bunkers, hootches and fighting position on 11 May 1970. At 1335hrs Flame tracks the area cleared by the flame tracks is BS820435, BS830435, BS820430 and BS830430. At 1410hrs Brigade between 1550hrs and 2300hrs there is weather warning, with thundershowers and winds up to 15 knots and gust up to 30 knots. The visibility will be 2 miles with a ceiling of 2,000. At 1600hrs E Troop the flame tracks detonated 3 hand frag and 1 105 rounds at BS825436 while burning a hedgerow. At 1630hrs E Troop at BS823436 Flame track 2 detonated a booby trap hand fag with a trip wire type firing device, negative damage or casualties. At 1915hrs E Troop we are in our Night Defense Position at BS837428.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 0751hrs 1-20 Infantry Rear we have a wire patrol in front of the wire at Bunker 50 in the rear.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company en route to Liz and the 38 element is already in location on the Access Road for Security Mission.
Bravo Company
May 13, 1970
Bravo Company is using multiple sweeps, multiple patrolling, and multiple ambushes, in their Area of Operation today. At 0005hrs LATE ENTRY at 2255hrs Bravo Company received small arms fire from enemy location at BS771458 and at 2315hrs when 3 Vietnamese Civilians came to their location wounded by enemy fire. Bravo Company destroyed 1handgrenade booby traps.
Charlie Company

At 0600hrs Charlie Company 54 element will work in different area due to the large amount of booby traps in the other area, they will be working at BS7937. At 0610 Charlie Company moving out of Night Defense Position and toward the Day Logger and closed at 0625hrs at BS785377. At 0720hrs E Troop Flame Throwers and Charlie Company 77 snake has closed and all elements are at BS839427. At 0740hrs Charlie Company the 56 element is at BS795373, the 58 element is at BS791361, the 34 elements is at BS782375 where they found a dud 155 round which was destroyed and the 38 element is at BS789370. At 0736hrs Charlie Company reports on the Battalion Med Cap treated 3 Vietnamese yesterday. At 0835hrs Charlie Company the 56 element is at BS798375, the 58 element is at BS791366, the 34 element is at BS772368, and the 38 element is at BS782364 and the 54 Night Defense Position/ Day Logger is the same and the 94/38 Day Logger is the same. At 1928hrs Charlie Company in their Night Defense Position at BS783384.
Delta Company

At 1320hrs Delta Company leaving LZ Liz en route to vicinity BS747447. At 1320hrs Delta Company we are leaving LZ Liz en route to BS7474473. At 1415hrs Delta Company we are in our Night Defense Position at BS755443. At 1942hrs Delta Company Command Post is in their Night Defense Position at BS754452 and the 36, 56 and 76 elements are moving to the Command Post. At 2030hrs Delta Company the 36 element is at BS747442, the 56 element is at BS747459 and the 76 element is at BS745455.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. At 0652hrs Recon Platoon the 53 element has an OP at BS823448, the 54 element is in their OP at BS824442 and the 55 element is moving to their OP at BS802463. At 0955hrs Recon at grid BS817462 we found and destroyed a bunker 8’ X 4’ with a couple of small utensils used for cooking. At 1055hrs Charlie Company the 34 element has uncovered 1 US type ammo pouch at BS782374. The ammo pouch was hidden in a hedgerow. There were many people in the area, all people were checked out and had ID. At 1950hrs Recon the 53 element is at BS823554, the 54 element is at BS801468 and the 55 element is at BS822443.
