Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0300hrs Saber 44 is on station for Box 65, negative findings, going to Box 63, negative findings, broke station at 0340hrs. At 0655hrs 1-20 infantry Warlord 20 is on station in Box 51. At 0925hrs 1-20 Infantry LZ Liz Access Road is clear at this time. At 1426hrs 1-20 Infantry Warlord 20 is on station for Box 53. At 1945hrs Saber 45 is on station for NH Box 60, Saber 45 has broke station at 2035hrs with negative findings. At 2010hrs MACV MO Duc called and rescinded free fire clearance in grid BS7853, reason civilians in the area, relayed to Saber 45. At 2251hrs 1-20 Infantry Mechanical Ambushes out: Alpha 0, Bravo 5 and Recon 1 for a total of 6. At 2307hrs 1-20 Infantry Saber 45 is on station for NH Box 61, at 2332hrs had negative findings and going into NH Box 69, at 0010 broke out of 69 with negative findings and broke station at 1010hrs. At 2350hrs Charlie Company SGT Anderson checked bunkers 6, 7, 8 and 9 all satisfactory. Legend: 1st Platoon 17, 2nd Platoon 44, 3rd Platoon 56, 4th Platoon 23, CO-64. New S-3 is CPT Robert J. Berdan.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco. At 1625hrs the 4-21 Infantry begins their Ari move from LZ Bronco to Chu Lai. 1st Lift at 1107hrs of 3 Lifts for a total of 264 Pax ere moved today with 453 Pac schedule for Chu Lai on 14 June 1971 and on 15 June the final 81 Pax will be lifted out.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1950hrs Alpha Company 1st Platoon while in Patrol Base vicinity 653563 received AK47, M16 and M79 from north 600 meters, west 400 meters and south 500 meters. At 2012hrs requested Urgent Dust Off for 1 US with multiple frag wounds to arms and legs and shoulders, 1st Platoon returned small arms fire and M79 fire. Dust Off #52 with shark 09 made pick up at 2032hrs, line # B5726 PFC Boske, Michael. 1st Platoon requested an emergency resupply of ammo, 2 cases of M-16, M-60 and M-79 HE ammo. At 2030hrs Pelican 29 on station for resupply completed at 2100hrs. At 2131hrs Alpha Company reports their night locations Command Post 3rd and 4th Platoons in Night Defense Position at BS662557 and at 2250hrs 1st Platoon at BS650566 with no Mechanical Ambush out.
Bravo Company

Bravo Company continued to use Patrol Bases and multiple Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1040hrs Bravo Company 3rd Platoon patrol has closed on BS705468. At 1815hrs Bravo Company 2nd Platoon Pat5rol has closed on BS701452. At 1941hrs Bravo Company Command Post with 3rd Platoon is moving to their Night Defense Position at BS704468. At 2020hrs Bravo Company all elements in Night Defense Position Command Post with 3rd Platoon is at BS704468, 2nd Platoon is at BS707448 and 1st and 4th Platoon is at BS612488. At 2134hrs Bravo Company spotted a flashlight moving south called in Fire Mission and observed 1 secondary explosion, will check out area at 1st Light.
Charlie Company

At 0653hrs Charlie Company 2nd Platoon is moving out to LZ Liz, Command Post and 3rd Platoon is moving out to LZ Liz. At 0820hrs Charlie Company Command Post and 3rd Platoon closed on LZ Liz and Charlie Company takes over the Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 2350hrs Charlie Company SGT Anderson checked bunkers 6, 7, 8 and 9 all satisfactory.
Delta Company

Delta Company continued their Security Mission for LZ Liz. At 1500hrs Delta Company makes move to LZ Bronco to work on Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Echo Company
June 13, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0600hrs Recon requested routine Dust Off for 1 US with twisted ankle is quite swollen. Line #W4300, Roger Wood, Bird # 89 completed at 1205hrs. At 1210hrs Recon is moving to location at vicinity BS761405 and at 1400hrs Recon is in their Patrol Base at BS761405. At 1920hrs Recon has change in their Night Defense Position at BS750380 which they have closed on.
