Forward Area: (1-20 Infantry Headquarters) is located at LZ Liz and will continue to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0030hrs Blue Ghost Black is on station requesting clearance for Box 59, cleared by LT Lewis. At 0103hrs Recon Platoon in location vicinity BS725460. At 0745hrs Primo 2 is on station for Command and Control Helicopter. At 0805hrs S-4 Dolphin 516 is on station for resupply. At 0815hrs Warlord 20 is on station for Visual Recon of Box 50. At 0830hrs Dolphin 516 is breaking station at this time. At 1000hrs Q Company vicinity Vietnamese children brought 1 dud M-79 round, 1 Chi Com grenade and 1 hand frag to their location they paid for them with C-Rations and destroyed the rounds. At 1440hrs Brigade Area of Operation extension disapproved by Mr. Thong (sent by Nettles) area is in Song Ve Area of Operation. Legend: 1st Platoon 83-88, 2nd Platoon 33-38, 3rd Platoon 03-08, 4th Platoon 63-68 and CO 09.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for LZ Bronco.
Alpha Company

Bravo Company

Bravo Company will continue their Saturation Patrolling in their Area of Operation. At 1905hrs Bravo Company has their Night Defense Position with multiple ambushes out tonight.
Charlie Company
December 13, 1970
At 0830hrs Charlie Company Command Post vicinity BS753391 had 1 12 year old Vietnamese boy lead them to a dud 105mm Artillery CS round. They destroyed the round and paid the child 1 can of C-Rations. Charlie Company 1st Platoon found 2 small tunnels one with a fighting position in front of the entrance, and pick up multiple rounds which all where destroyed in place. At 1105hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS751399 bought 1 155mm Artillery round from some Vietnamese children. Gave them #100 piasters and 3 cans of C-Rations and round was destroyed. At 1220hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon vicinity BS735418, found approximately 4 boot prints on a trail leading to the west. Elements followed the trail to the edge of the Area of Operation and then reached hard ground and lost the trail. At 1523hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS770383 found 1 250-pound bomb, requests EOD team to destroy it, state that the other 250 bomb was really a 500 pound one. At 1525hrs Charlie Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS763367, lead by a 8 year old Vietnamese male to a 60mm mortar round, 1 unidentified WP round, and 1 155mm Artillery HE rounds, paid him 10 cans of C-rations. At 1720hrs Charlie Company 1st Platoon vicinity BS731415 found a tunnel 3 X 4 X 3, had a fighting position in front of the tunnel and was well camouflaged and then destroyed it. The 1st Platoon at BS725415 found a tunnel in a bamboo clump and destroyed it. At 1940hrs Charlie Company Command Post, 3rd, 4th Platoons in location at BS758393 with 3rd Platoon ambushes at BS759397 and the 2nd Platoon location BS775369, BS774373 and BS769372 with the 1st Platoon ambush at BS721415.
Delta Company
December 13, 1970
Delta Company continued to patrolling their Area of Operation At 1020hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon in their Night Defense Position at 0530hrs at BS741561 received 30, 40 rounds of small arms fire minor and some hand frag fire. 3 EM received very minor frag wounds then spotted and engaged a possible 2 VC/NVA at a distance of 450-500 meters. At 1110hrs Delta Company 3rd Platoon vicinity BS759560 to BS774560 working with Phuong Huong detained 5 Vietnamese suspects. 1 male age 45 with no ID, dressed in blue and black, and 1 male age 45, no ID, dressed all black. 1 male age 50, no ID, dressed in all black, and 1 male age 60, no ID, gray and black, 1 male age 40, mutilated ID, purple and black, 1 female age 39, no ID they all sent to Mo Duc for follow up. At 1830hrs 3rd Platoon vicinity BSBS743561 found 1 155 Artillery round, the fuse was removed and destroyed in place. At 2012hrs Delta Company reports their Command Post 1st and 4th Platoon BS742576, 2nd Platoon BS764558, 3rd Platoon BS771558.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their OP and ambush location.
