Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Forward Area: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Custer getting ready to move to LZ Siberia and will continued to work with ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0730hrs S-4 resupply Bird on Station Rattler 18. At 0740hrs Commenced move to LZ Siberia 1st PZ 0740hrs Echo Company, 2nd PZ 0758hrs Echo Company and 3rd PZ Headquarters and Headquarters Company. AMC is on Station for Bravo and Delta Companies. 4th PZ 0840hrs Alpha Company and 1st PZ Bravo Company 0910hrs, 5th PZ Alpha Company at 0900hrs, 6th PZ 0925hrs Alpha Company, 1st PZ Delta Company at 1120hrs, Delta Company 2nd PZ 1140hrs LZ Cluster is closed at 1140hrs. At 1330hrs 1-20 Infantry is OPCON to 198 Light Infantry Brigade at this time. Delta Company has the Security Mission for LZ Siberia.
Rear Area: Battalion Rear continued their Mission of general support for the battalion and continued their Security Mission for Chu Lai.
Alpha Company
September 12, 1971
Alpha Company continued with their Security Mission for LZ Vanguard. 1-20 Infantry commenced movement to LZ Siberia and move North. Alpha Company 1st PZ at 0840hrs 4th Lift in movement and the 1-20 Infantry closed LZ Custer at 1140hrs. At 1330hrs 1-20 Infantry open Operations at LZ Siberia OPCON to the 198th Infantry Brigade. At 1626hrs Alpha Company is moving out and at 1925hrs Alpha Company 1st and 2nd Platoon and Command Post in their Night Defense Position at AT883255.
Bravo Company
September 12, 1971
At 0740hrs 1-20 Infantry started their movement to LZ Siberia, 1st PZ at 0910hrs for Bravo Company and by 1140hrs LZ Custer is closed out. At 1330hrs 1-20 Infantry become OPCON to the 198 Infantry Brigade at 1140hrs and have taken control of LZ Siberia at AT902231. At 1925hrs Bravo Company 1st Platoon has moved into their Night Defense Position at AT885264 with Bravo Company Command Post with the 2nd Platoon moving to their Night Defense Position at AT931280.
Charlie Company
September 12, 1971
Charlie Company has moved with the 1-20 Infantry to LZ Siberia at AT902234 and LZ Custer is closed at 1140hrs. At 1330hrs 1-20 Infantry is OPCON to 198th Light Infantry Brigade at LZ Siberia and Charlie Company has taken over the Security Mission for LZ West.
Delta Company
September 12, 1971
On the move again Delta Company 1st PZ at 1120hrs and 2nd PZ at 1140hrs, which closes LZ Custer. At 1330hrs 1-20 Infantry becomes OPCON to 198th Infantry Brigade and are setting up shop at LZ Siberia at AT902231 and Delta Company is on the move to Chu Lai for their Stand Down.
Echo Company
September 12, 1971
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Siberia, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the coordination responsibility for Base Defense. Recon Platoon continued their Security Mission for 1-20 Infantry. At 0730hrs S-4 the resupply Bird is on Station Rattler 18. At 0740hrs Commenced move tot LZ Siberia 1st PZ 0740hrs Echo Company, 2nd PZ 0758hrs Echo Company and 3rd PZ Headquarters and Headquarters Company.
