Headquarters and Headquarter Company

Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working and supporting the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0745hrs Combat Assault for 1-20 Infantry has been cancelled due to weather. At 0930hrs 11th Brigade Message "All bunkers will be checked daily and will have plump bobs in them. At 1725hrs Three (3) LCU’s will arrive at the landing site on 1300hrs and at 1800hrs (We will have a Engineer Company equipment). One LCU will go to Sa Hyun and pick up A Calvary and at 1600hrs they will beach, three (3) LCU will be back to Chu Lai for the remainder of the equipment all return on 14 October 1969. If all of A Calvary is not picked up tomorrow the remainder will be beached at 1600hrs on 14 October 1969. At 1940hrs Charlie Company reports that all bunkers have been inspected and everything is in good order pass on to S-3.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. At 1600hrs Convoy at BS923224, one Vietnamese is wounded by M-79 round, which he picked up, MP personnel standing by for Dust Off complete at 1620hrs.
Alpha Company

Alpha Company will continue their Stand Down located at Chu Lai.
Bravo Company

At 0905hrs Bravo Company our 25 element along with the 2nd ARVN Company are set up in Day Logger (BS779445) setting up security and is using saturation patrolling in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company

Charlie Company continued the Security Mission for LZ Liz and Access Road.
Delta Company

Delta Company has a Security Mission located at LZ Bronco and refitting.
Echo Company
October 12, 1969
Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. At 0613hrs 4.2 Platoon negative report. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0610hrs Recon reports is moving off of LZ Liz at this time. At 0707hrs Recon we have reached checkpoint 1 at BS769415 and at 0950hrs Recon Platoon reported that they are now at checkpoint 2 BS755406. At 1000hrs Recon is at checkpoint 3 and head to LZ Liz and closed on LZ Liz at 1020hrs. At 1210hrs Recon Platoon we are back at the site and will be on LZ Liz in about 35 minutes and closed again on LZ Liz at 1335hrs.
