Battalion Forward: 1-20 Infantry Headquarters is located at LZ Liz and continued their working with the ARVN units in their Area of Operations. At 0030hrs Boats same place near beach all personnel and Equipment still on boats, 6 tracks from one boat loaded off to pull security. At 0730 1-20 Infantry requested one set of scout dogs for LZ Liz pick up at Bud Pad 1430hrs. At 1005hrs 1-20 Infantry two boats that were stranded on the beach have been fixed and will move out at high tide, call DSAD Operations Chu Lai.
Battalion Rear: Battalion Rear continued their Mission for providing general support for the Battalion. 0315hrs Base Defense LZ Bronco at BS835387 PU spotted 5 personnel engaged with 50 caliber and Artillery along with 81mm mortar. At 0555hrs FDC 6-11 Artillery reports at BS845465 PF sprung an ambush west of LZ Max results 3 VC KIA, 1 VC CIA, 1 AK47 and 1 carbine. At 0845hrs at 908153 received small arms and RPG rounds results 1 jeep completely destroyed and 9 WIA (E) 3 US from 4-21 Infantry and 1 US from E Troop. Dust Off completed at 0935hrs to Quinn Nhon. At 1350hrs 4-21 Infantry reports 1 KIA from ambush this morning at 0845hrs (I believe it was SP4 DENNIS EDWARD TIMMONS FROM BRAVO COMPANY 4-21 INFANTRY). At 1000hrs the 11 Brigade Command and Control Helicopter took 2 people from Bravo Company and 2 men from Artillery to Quin Nhon to indentify the body. At 2030hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense reports 1-20 Infantry side of the base, think they have definite movement received a couple magazines of sniper fire from RD area. Checked with MACV District says VC out there, are sending units to intercept. At 2340hrs LZ Bronco Base Defense spotted 8 persons moving south engaged with 6 rounds 81mm, 22 rounds 105mm rounds Artillery and 80 to 91 rounds from quad 50 fire.
Alpha Company
November 12, 1969
Alpha Company continued their Security Mission for Land Clearing Operation. At 1240hrs Alpha Company at BS816432 had a priority Dust Off observed 5 VCS sitting along some hootches, the National Police fired on them, results 2 VCS WIA, Dust Off at 1250hrs for 2 and the 3 other will be evac to Bronco later. At 1530hrs Alpha Company at BS825415, 91 element and PRU detained 3 Chieu Hoi headed for a weapons cache. At 1630hrs Alpha Company Report Navy 1 Boat still stuck using other one to try and pull off another boat is coming up north to aid them afloat at 1730hrs. At 1700hrs Alpha Company and PRU at BS825432 captured 2 VCS with shorts on and will evac to Bronco, no ID or weapons. At 1930hrs Boats were freed from sand bar, 2nd on way to completed phase two of the mission.
Bravo Company

At 1809hrs Bravo Company at BS787417 Urgent Dust Off for 1PF stepped on unknown type of mine Dust Off completed at 1818hrs. At 2120hrs at BS787429 PF 216 Platoon are receiving broadcasts from VC trying to get them to Chieu Hoi and engaged at BS785444 with Artillery with unknown results. Bravo Company is at BS783433 working with joint operations with the ARVN and continued to use multiple patrolling and Day and Night ambushes in their Area of Operation.
Charlie Company

Delta Company
November 12, 1969
At 1600hrs Delta Company is now located at BS795425 and by 1800hrs Delta Company is now at BS802418. At 1825hrs at BS790475 Delta Company while moving into their Night Defense Position received small arms fire from 700 meters south and observed 4 VC/NVA engaged with M-60 and Artillery check out area with negative results. At 2000hrs Delta Company in their Night Defense Position at BS802418 and at 1935hrs Delta Company 91 at BS797466 captured 2 VCS hiding in rice paddy, dressed in black P.J. negative weapons, male will evac to Bronco in the morning. At 2015hrs Delta Company at BS797465 the 91 element received small arms fire from the south engaged at BS800461 with artillery with negative casualties or damage.
Echo Company

Echo Company headquarters and 4.2 Mortar Platoon is location on LZ Liz, where the 4.2 Platoon providing direct fire support for the Battalion. Echo Company Headquarters has the responsibility for Base Defense. At 0800hrs Recon Platoon reports that there are still at BS711471. At 1400hrs Recon Platoon reported their location at BS717462 and will be their Night Defense Position.
